SAFU is more commonly used by shitcoin exchanges and projects that have suffered some kind of hack resulting in loss of funds. SAFU stands for “Safe As FUck“.

It is intended to provide assurance that everyone’s funds are safe and there is nothing to worry about. However, if you keep your Bitcoin on a centralized exchange or worse, meddling with poorly designed shitcoin blockchains, you take a big risk that your funds are anything but safe.

By having good security practices and taking ownership of your Bitcoin, you can ensure that your sats are SAFU yourself.
