Hashboard

Intermédiaire Hardware

Also known as: Hash board, Hashing board, Mining board

Definition

A hashboard is the core computing component of an ASIC miner. Each board contains dozens to hundreds of individual ASIC chips arranged in a chain, along with voltage regulators (VRMs), temperature sensors, and communication interfaces. The hashboards connect to a control board that coordinates mining operations.

Hashboard failures are the most common cause of reduced performance in ASIC miners. Common issues include dead chips, burned voltage regulators, broken solder joints, and thermal damage. Hashboard repair is a specialized skill and a key service offered by D-Central Technologies.
