Noctua fans are widely regarded as the gold standard for quiet, reliable cooling fans. Home miners frequently replace the extremely loud stock fans in ASIC miners (75-85 dB) with Noctua models that operate at 20-40 dB while still providing adequate airflow.
The most popular models for mining are the NF-A12x25 (120mm) and NF-A14 (140mm). Fan adapters or custom 3D-printed shrouds may be needed to mount Noctua fans on miners designed for different fan sizes.
