Description

The Bitaxe Modern Stand

The Bitaxe stand is designed for Bitcoin solo mining enthusiasts.

The Modern Stand is the next evolution of Bitaxe mounting — a dual-orientation, dual-fan-capable stand that gives your solo miner serious cooling infrastructure in a compact, 3D-printed package. Run it vertical with the included foot for a desk display, or flip it horizontal on the rear fan shroud for a low-profile shelf setup. Either way, your Bitaxe runs cooler, looks sharper, and hashes harder.

What sets the Modern Stand apart: an integrated rear fan shroud that accepts a second 40mm fan. Your stock heatsink fan pushes air through the ASIC chip — the rear fan pulls that hot exhaust out of the enclosure. Push-pull airflow, in a stand that fits in your palm. Every hash counts.

Specifications

Spec Detail
Orientations Vertical (with foot) or horizontal (on fan shroud)
Fan Support Rear fan shroud for second 40mm fan (push-pull config)
Included Main container + foot + rear fan shroud
Material Premium filament, 3D printed in Canada
Manufacturing 3D printed by D-Central
Price $14.99

Features

  • Dual-fan push-pull cooling — rear fan shroud accepts a second 40mm fan, creating a push-pull airflow path that significantly reduces ASIC junction temperature. Your heatsink fan pushes, the rear fan pulls. Lower temps mean more stable hashrate and longer chip life
  • Two orientations, one stand — use the included foot for vertical desktop display, or remove it and rest the stand horizontally on the rear fan shroud. Adapt the setup to your space
  • Three-piece modular design — main container, foot, and rear fan shroud. Assemble in the configuration that works for your setup
  • Premium filament — 3D printed with high-quality filament for durability and a clean finish. This isn’t a rough prototype — it’s a finished product
  • Full port access — 5V barrel jack, OLED display, WiFi antenna, and reset button remain accessible in both orientations
  • OLED visibility — monitor your hashrate, temperature, best difficulty, and share count at a glance

Orientation Guide

Orientation Setup Best For
Vertical Attach foot to main container Desk display, convection-assisted cooling, OLED at eye level
Horizontal Rest on rear fan shroud (no foot) Shelf placement, low profile, stacking multiple miners

Compatibility

Miner Compatible
Bitaxe Gamma (BM1370) Yes
Bitaxe Supra (BM1368) Yes
Bitaxe Ultra (BM1366) Yes

Not compatible with: Bitaxe Hex (different form factor — see the Bitaxe Hex Case), Bitaxe GT, NerdAxe (see NerdAxe Modern Stand), NerdMiner, NerdQAxe.

Second fan not included. The rear fan shroud is designed for a standard 40mm fan. Add one to create the push-pull configuration — or run the stand as-is with your stock heatsink fan only.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need the second fan, or does the stand work without it?

The stand works perfectly fine with just your stock heatsink fan. The rear fan shroud is there as an upgrade path — if your Bitaxe runs hot in your environment (poor ambient ventilation, high room temperature, aggressive overclocking), adding a second 40mm exhaust fan to the rear shroud creates push-pull airflow that can drop temperatures noticeably. Think of it as an optional performance upgrade, not a requirement.

What size fan fits the rear shroud?

Standard 40mm fan. Any 40mm x 10mm or 40mm x 20mm fan will work. For quiet operation, look for fans rated under 25 dBA. For maximum airflow, prioritize CFM over noise rating. The fan mounts directly into the shroud.

Can I switch between vertical and horizontal orientation?

Yes — the foot is modular. Attach it for vertical mode, remove it for horizontal. You can change orientation anytime without disassembling anything else. Power off your Bitaxe first, reposition, power back on.

What power supply does the Bitaxe need?

The Bitaxe uses a 5V 2.1mm barrel jack (NOT USB-C). You need a 5V DC power supply rated at minimum 6A (30W+). The Modern Stand provides full access to the barrel jack in both vertical and horizontal orientations.

How does this compare to the Mesh Standing Case?

The Modern Stand adds dual-fan support and dual-orientation flexibility that the Mesh Standing Case doesn’t offer. The Mesh Standing Case is a fixed vertical enclosure with mesh ventilation. The Modern Stand gives you push-pull cooling capability and the choice of vertical or horizontal placement. If cooling performance and flexibility matter to you, the Modern Stand is the upgrade.

Built by the Mining Hackers

D-Central has been engineering Bitaxe accessories since day one — we created the original Bitaxe Mesh Stand, the first purpose-built Bitaxe enclosure ever manufactured. The Modern Stand builds on that legacy with dual-fan engineering and modular design. 3D printed in Canada with premium filament, by a team that lives and breathes open-source mining hardware. Every hash counts.
