Description

The Original Bitaxe Mesh Standing Case

This is where it started. D-Central Technologies designed and manufactured the first-ever Bitaxe standing case — the Mesh Standing Case. Before anyone else was thinking about Bitaxe enclosures, we were already shipping them. 3D printed in-house at our Canadian facility, this case gives your Bitaxe a proper upright stance with a mesh back panel engineered for maximum airflow. No compromises on cooling, no compromises on build quality.

Available in two hardware-matched variants — v2 for standard Bitaxe boards and v2-04 for the updated hardware revision v204+ — so your case fits like it was born with the board. Because it was designed alongside it.

Case Variants

Variant Designed For Key Difference
v2 Bitaxe Gamma, Supra, Ultra (standard hardware) Accommodates original DC jack connector placement
v2-04 Bitaxe hardware revision v204+ Updated for relocated DC jack and retracted ESP module

Important: Check your Bitaxe board revision before ordering. The v204+ hardware moved the DC jack position and pulled the ESP module back — the v2-04 case accounts for both changes. If you’re unsure, look at your board’s silkscreen markings or check the open-source hardware repo for your specific revision.

Specifications

Spec Detail
Orientation Vertical standing
Back Panel Mesh ventilation pattern

Power Connector Access 5V 2.1mm barrel jack (fully accessible)
OLED Display Visible through case
Variants v2 (standard) / v2-04 (hardware v204+)

Features

  • Mesh back ventilation — engineered airflow pattern prevents hot air buildup and keeps your ASIC chip running cooler, longer
  • Vertical standing orientation — natural convection-assisted cooling, smaller desk footprint, and your OLED stats display at eye level
  • Hardware-matched variants — precision-designed for specific board revisions so every port, connector, and component lines up perfectly
  • 3D printed in Canada — manufactured in-house by D-Central, not mass-produced overseas. Quality checked before it ships
  • Full port access — 5V barrel jack, WiFi antenna, reset button, and OLED display all remain accessible

Not compatible with: Bitaxe Hex (6-chip board — see the Bitaxe Hex Case), Bitaxe GT, NerdAxe, NerdMiner, NerdQAxe.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I need v2 or v2-04?

Check your Bitaxe board’s hardware revision number, usually printed on the PCB silkscreen. If your board is revision v204 or later, you need the v2-04 case. These newer boards relocated the DC power jack and retracted the ESP32 module, so the original v2 case won’t align properly. When in doubt, compare your board’s DC jack position to the product photos — if the jack is in the newer position (shifted from the original), go with v2-04.

Does the mesh back actually improve cooling?

Yes. The mesh pattern allows unrestricted exhaust airflow from the heatsink fan. In a solid-back enclosure, hot air recirculates and raises chip junction temperature, which either reduces hashrate or increases power draw to maintain it. The mesh back lets convection do its job — hot air exits, cool air enters. It’s simple thermodynamics applied to a 5-watt mining rig.

Can I still see the OLED display when the Bitaxe is in the case?

Absolutely. The case is designed with the OLED screen visible so you can monitor hashrate, temperature, best difficulty, and network stats at a glance. Your Bitaxe’s stats stay front and center — where they belong.

What power supply do I need?

The Bitaxe uses a 5V 2.1mm barrel jack power connector (NOT USB-C). You need a 5V DC power supply rated at 6A minimum (30W+). The case provides full, unobstructed access to the barrel jack.

Why is D-Central’s Mesh Stand the one to get?

Because we made the first one. D-Central designed and manufactured the original Bitaxe Mesh Standing Case before anyone else in the ecosystem. We’ve iterated on the design through multiple hardware revisions, listened to community feedback, and refined the fit. When you buy from D-Central, you’re getting the case from the team that started it all — not a clone.

Pioneered by D-Central

D-Central Technologies created the original Bitaxe Mesh Stand — we were the first company to design, manufacture, and ship a purpose-built Bitaxe enclosure. Every case is 3D printed in-house at our Canadian facility, quality checked, and shipped by the same team that’s been building Bitcoin mining accessories since 2016. We don’t just sell Bitaxe gear — we helped define the ecosystem. Every hash counts.
