We are not Amazon, and this page is honest about what that means. D-Central is a small shop of Bitcoin mining hackers in Montreal, Quebec. We build, bench-test, and ship hardware ourselves, by hand, off lean inventory. That approach keeps quality high and keeps gear out of landfills, but it also means our shipping works a little differently than a faceless warehouse. Here is exactly how it works, with no fine print designed to surprise you at the door.

Where we ship from

Every order leaves our bench in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. That is the same lab where we have repaired thousands of ASICs across 38+ models since 2016 (more on that on our About page). Shipping from Canada means Canadian buyers skip cross-border currency conversion and brokerage games, and everyone gets hardware that a human actually inspected before it went in the box.

Build-to-order lead times

Most of what we sell is built to order rather than pulled off a pallet. When you place an order, the clock starts on real work: sourcing, assembly, flashing, and bench validation before anything ships. For in-stock items like a Bitaxe, that turnaround is short. For configured builds, refurbished units, and custom work, it takes longer because we are doing the work properly the first time.

We will give you a lead-time estimate, and we will keep you posted. Treat that estimate as a good-faith target, not a contractual guarantee. We would rather hand you hardware that has been verified on our bench than rush a unit out the door to hit an arbitrary date. Quality over speed is the entire point of buying from a shop instead of a marketplace.

How shipping is priced

Shipping is quoted at checkout by weight and destination. You see the figure before you pay, and that is the figure you pay — there is no separate handling surcharge bolted on afterward. We do not publish a rate card, because the honest rate depends on what is in the box and where it is going. A flat number printed on a policy page would be a guess wearing a uniform.

Domestic shipping (Canada)

Within Canada we ship with Canada Post. Your rate is quoted at checkout from the parcel weight and your address, and tracking is provided once your order ships. United States shipping

We ship to the United States regularly. The rate is quoted at checkout the same way, by weight and destination, and we route through our ShipStation integration to put the parcel on a sensible service. US buyers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or brokerage fees their country assesses on arrival.

Outside Canada and the United States

Canada and the United States are the destinations we serve as a matter of course. Orders do reach us from further afield and we take them, but for those destinations the figure shown at checkout is an estimate, not a quote. We confirm the real parcel rate by email before charging anything beyond your order total, and if that rate does not work for you, you can cancel for a full refund before the parcel ships. You will never get a silent surprise invoice from us.

Customs, duties, and taxes (international buyers)

For orders shipping outside Canada, any import duties, sales or value-added taxes, and customs brokerage fees charged by your destination country are the buyer’s responsibility. These are levied by your government and carrier, not by D-Central, and they are separate from the shipping rate you pay us. We declare shipments accurately. If you are unsure what your country charges on mining hardware, check with your local customs authority before ordering so there are no surprises on delivery.

Tracking, carriers, and delays

We ship with Canada Post and route through ShipStation to select appropriate service for each parcel. You will receive tracking once your order is on its way. Typical transit to Canadian and US addresses is 3–10 days once the parcel leaves our bench — that clock starts at hand-off to the carrier, not at checkout, so read it on top of the build lead time rather than instead of it. Once a package is in the carrier’s hands, transit times and any weather, customs, or carrier delays are outside our control, but we will help you chase down anything that goes sideways. If your order has not arrived in a reasonable window, contact us and we will dig into it with you.

If something arrives wrong or dead

Shipping and returns are two different things. If your hardware shows up damaged, defective, or dead-on-arrival, that is covered separately under our Return, Refund and Repair Policy, including the reporting window, warranty terms for new versus refurbished units, and how to start a DOA claim.
