We are not Amazon, and this page is honest about what that means. D-Central is a small shop of Bitcoin mining hackers in Laval, Quebec. We build, bench-test, and ship hardware ourselves, by hand, off lean inventory. That approach keeps quality high and keeps gear out of landfills, but it also means our shipping works a little differently than a faceless warehouse. Here is exactly how it works, with no fine print designed to surprise you at the door.
Where we ship from
Every order leaves our bench in Laval, Quebec, Canada. That is the same lab where we have repaired 2,500+ ASICs across 38+ models since 2016 (more on that on our About page). Shipping from Canada means Canadian buyers skip cross-border currency conversion and brokerage games, and everyone gets hardware that a human actually inspected before it went in the box.
Build-to-order lead times
Most of what we sell is built to order rather than pulled off a pallet. When you place an order, the clock starts on real work: sourcing, assembly, flashing, and bench validation before anything ships. For in-stock items like a Bitaxe, that turnaround is short. For configured builds, refurbished units, and custom work, it takes longer because we are doing the work properly the first time.
We will give you a lead-time estimate, and we will keep you posted. Treat that estimate as a good-faith target, not a contractual guarantee. We would rather hand you hardware that has been verified on our bench than rush a unit out the door to hit an arbitrary date. Quality over speed is the entire point of buying from a shop instead of a marketplace.
Free shipping on Canadian orders of $500 CAD or more
Orders of $500 CAD or more ship free within Canada. Below that threshold, domestic shipping is calculated at checkout based on weight and destination. If your cart shows how much more you need to reach free shipping, that figure is authoritative and reflects this same $500 CAD threshold.
Domestic shipping (Canada)
Within Canada we ship primarily via Canada Post, with rates calculated live at checkout from the real parcel weight and your address. You will see the cost before you pay; there is no separate handling surcharge bolted on afterward. Tracking is provided once your order ships. If you are buying a Bitaxe specifically, our Buy a Bitaxe in Canada page explains why ordering domestically saves you the cross-border headaches.
United States shipping
We ship to the United States regularly. US rates are calculated at checkout by weight and destination, routed through Canada Post and our ShipStation integration to find a sensible carrier for the parcel. As with international orders below, US buyers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or brokerage fees their country assesses on arrival.
International and Rest-of-World shipping
We ship worldwide, and we are transparent about how that price is built. For Rest-of-World destinations, the checkout applies a flat base rate plus a percentage of the order value as an initial estimate. Because real international parcel costs vary by weight, dimensions, and destination, the final shipping rate is confirmed by email before we charge anything additional. You will never get a silent surprise invoice from us. If the confirmed rate does not work for you, you can cancel for a refund of the order before it ships.
| Destination | How shipping is calculated | Free shipping? |
|---|---|---|
| Canada (domestic) | Live Canada Post rate by weight and address | Yes, on orders $500 CAD+ |
| United States | Calculated at checkout by weight and destination | No |
| Rest of World | Flat base + percentage estimate, final rate confirmed by email | No |
Customs, duties, and taxes (international buyers)
For orders shipping outside Canada, any import duties, sales or value-added taxes, and customs brokerage fees charged by your destination country are the buyer’s responsibility. These are levied by your government and carrier, not by D-Central, and they are separate from the shipping rate you pay us. We declare shipments accurately. If you are unsure what your country charges on mining hardware, check with your local customs authority before ordering so there are no surprises on delivery.
Tracking, carriers, and delays
We ship with Canada Post and route through ShipStation to select appropriate service for each parcel. You will receive tracking once your order is on its way. Once a package is in the carrier’s hands, transit times and any weather, customs, or carrier delays are outside our control, but we will help you chase down anything that goes sideways. If your order has not arrived in a reasonable window, contact us and we will dig into it with you.
If something arrives wrong or dead
Shipping and returns are two different things. If your hardware shows up damaged, defective, or dead-on-arrival, that is covered separately under our Return, Refund and Repair Policy, including the reporting window, warranty terms for new versus refurbished units, and how to start a DOA claim. Read that page for anything related to faults, warranty, or returns.
Questions before you order?
If you need a lead-time estimate, a shipping quote for an unusual destination, or help configuring a build before you buy, reach out. We would rather answer honestly up front than leave you guessing. Browse the shop when you are ready, or start with the Bitaxe if you are putting your first hash on the network at home.
