The DCENT Suite: Open-Source Sovereignty Tools

Everything D-Central builds is open source, and every piece exists to push one more layer decentralized — from the firmware on an industrial miner to the words you dictate at your keyboard. This is the whole family in one place: what each tool is, how honest we are about its status, and how they fit together into a stack you actually own.

One Mission, Many Layers

D-Central are Bitcoin mining hackers. We are not Amazon, and we are not trying to be — we build hand-crafted, open-source tools for people who want to own their stack. Every DCENT project takes something that is usually rented, closed, or centralized and moves it back into your hands. None of it is disposable, and none of it is a black box. We stand on the shoulders of the open-source giants who came before us, and we say so on every page.

The Projects

Eight projects, one philosophy. Status labels are honest — six repositories are public on GitHub today, the first beta firmware images are downloadable now, and some hardware is still on the drawing board. We will always tell you which is which.

DCENT_OS

Public beta · GPL-3.0
Open-source Rust mining firmware for industrial Antminers, S9 through S21. Quiet, efficient home and Hashcenter tuning. Signed beta images for the S9 and S19j Pro are downloadable now; source public on GitHub.

DCENT_axe

Firmware live · boards in design · CERN-OHL-S + GPL-3.0
Open-hardware Bitcoin miner in the Bitaxe lineage, with an onboard LoRa mesh radio on every board. Firmware 0.3.0 already flashes six Bitaxe-class boards from the web flasher; DCENT boards are coming.

DCENT_Toolbox

Public beta · GPL-3.0
A command-line toolkit to scan, diagnose, audit, flash, and tune any miner fleet — and the installer for DCENT_OS beta images. Source public on GitHub.

DCENT_Raven

In design · source public · CERN-OHL-S + GPL-3.0
A LoRa mesh accessory that plugs into any Bitaxe’s accessory port and puts your miner on a Meshtastic mesh — off-grid telemetry and block-found alerts, no internet required. No boards built yet.

DCENT_ExpansionPack

Fab-ready design · source public · CERN-OHL-S + GPL-3.0
A small Wi-Fi bridge board for miners running DCENT_OS: scan a QR code and the miner is on your Wi-Fi — it never touches your password. v0.1 design is fab-ready; no boards manufactured yet.

Web Flasher

Live
A browser-based flasher for DCENT open-source miner firmware — DCENT_axe 0.3.0 for six Bitaxe-class boards flashes from the browser today, no toolchain to install.

DCENT_Voice

Private beta · source coming soon · GPL-3.0
Fully-local, private voice-to-text dictation. The workflow of cloud dictation apps, run entirely on your own machine with local models.

DCENT_Torrent

Private beta · source coming soon · GPL-3.0
A modern, sovereign BitTorrent client — 2026 quality-of-life on the open BitTorrent stack, for censorship-resistant, peer-to-peer distribution.

The Sovereign Stack

Each project owns a different layer of the thing you are trying to take back. Together with Bitcoin, Nostr, and mesh, they form a stack with no single point of control.

LayerProjectWhat you own
FirmwareDCENT_OSThe software running your industrial miner — 0% dev fee, no revoke.
HardwareDCENT_axeAn open miner board that is also a mesh relay.
Mesh / commsDCENT_RavenYour miner’s telemetry over LoRa mesh — no ISP in the loop.
NetworkDCENT_ExpansionPackHow your miner joins the network — an open bridge, not a closed travel router.
ToolingDCENT_ToolboxThe tools to scan, audit, and tune your fleet yourself.
Dictation / AI inputDCENT_VoiceYour voice and your words, transcribed on your own machine.
DistributionDCENT_TorrentHow your files and software move — peer-to-peer, no gatekeeper.

See where these sit next to money, identity, and comms in the pleb’s sovereign stack and the sovereign AI hub.

Open by Default

Everything here is GPL-3.0 (the hardware adds CERN-OHL-S for the boards). That is not a marketing checkbox — it means you can read the code, audit it, build it, fork it, and keep running it no matter what happens to D-Central. All of it is beta, and we label status honestly: the first signed firmware images (DCENT_OS for the S9 and S19j Pro, DCENT_axe 0.3.0 for Bitaxe-class boards) are downloadable today, while other pieces are still designs on their way to fab.

Own Your Whole Stack

Eight open-source projects, one mission: one more layer decentralized. The public beta is live — read the source, flash a beta image, and help test the DCENT suite.
