Antminer S23: Confirmed vs Rumored Specs (Honest Pre-Release Coverage)

Quick answer

The Antminer S23 has not shipped as of June 2026, and Bitmain has not published full specifications. This page is honest pre-coverage: everything below is clearly labeled CONFIRMED (officially announced) or RUMORED/UNCONFIRMED. We do not invent specs. As the S23 launches and reaches our bench, this hub becomes the variant decoder for it the same way our S21 and S19 hubs are today.

There is a lot of speculation about the S23 online, and a lot of it is wrong. Our discipline here is simple: a spec is only stated as fact once Bitmain confirms it or a unit reaches the bench. Until then, expectations are marked as rumored and reasoned from the BM1368→BM1370 trajectory, not presented as data. Check back as confirmation lands.

Pre-release coverage: the Antminer S23 has not shipped. Every value below is tagged CONFIRMED or RUMORED / UNCONFIRMED. We do not publish fabricated specs.

Variant decoder — every Antminer S23 member, with the internals Bitmain never states

How to identify: No retail units in circulation to identify yet.  Notes: RUMORED: a further efficiency step beyond the BM1370. Chip part number, chips/board and domain layout are all UNCONFIRMED. We will not print a number we cannot stand behind.

How to identify: Not released.  Notes: RUMORED: Bitmain has launched water/immersion variants alongside air for recent generations, so liquid S23 SKUs are plausible — but unconfirmed.

Voltage is regulated per voltage domain, never per chip — a group of chips shares one regulated rail. Frequency and voltage targets are calculated at runtime by the autotuner; they are not fixed presets.

Owner data strip — tuning, errors, profiles, repair

No tuning data exists yet — the S23 has not reached the bench. When it does, its power profiles will be measured generically on our own hardware and published in the Power Profiles Database, the same as every other model. We never publish numbers we have not verified.

Lifecycle — support, used market, and second life

Support / end-of-service: Not applicable yet — the S23 is pre-release. When it ships it will start a fresh warranty window; we will track its status on the EOS Tracker like every other model.  Antminer EOS Tracker →

Used market: No used market exists yet. Expect early units to command a premium and depreciate the prior generation (the S21 family) once volume arrives.

Heat reuse: A future S23 will be a high-density heat source like the S21; our heat-reuse guidance will extend to it once power figures are confirmed.

Fix it — top failure modes and what they cost

  • No field-failure data exists for the S23 yet — it has not shipped. We will publish failure modes only once units reach our bench, the same evidence standard as every other hub on this site.

Frequently asked questions

Has the Antminer S23 been released?
No. As of June 2026 the Antminer S23 has not shipped and Bitmain has not published full specifications. Anything you see stated as a hard S23 spec elsewhere is, at this point, unconfirmed.
What are the rumored Antminer S23 specs?
Expectations — clearly rumored, not confirmed — point to a further efficiency step beyond the BM1370 (which powers the S21 XP), i.e. below roughly 13 J/TH. Chip part number, chips per board, voltage domains and power draw are all unconfirmed. We will not present rumor as fact.
Should I wait for the S23 or buy an S21 now?
If you need hashrate or heat today, the S21 family is the current, in-stock, fully supported flagship. Waiting for an unannounced model with unconfirmed specs and no used-market or repair track record is a speculation, not a spec-driven decision. We sell the S21 today and will cover the S23 honestly when it is real.
