Installation Guide

Tools and Materials Needed:

• Screwdriver
• New Bitmain Xilinx 7007 Zync Control Board (Ctrl_C87)
• SD card with specific firmware for your model

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Preparation
   • Power Down the Miner: Ensure the miner is powered off and unplugged from any power sources.
   • Safety First: Wear an anti-static wrist strap to prevent static damage.
2. Remove the Top Cover
   • Access the Control Board: Unscrew and remove the top cover of your miner to expose the control board.
3. Disconnect the Old Control Board
   • Unplug Connections: Carefully disconnect the 3x 18-pin signal cables, PSU power extension cable, voltage regulating cable, and 4x fan cables from the old control board.
4. Remove the Old Control Board
   • Remove the Face Plate: Unscrew and remove the face plate on the miner.
   • Slide Out the Board: Gently slide out the old control board.
5. Install the New Control Board
   • Slide in the New Board: Carefully slide the new Xilinx 7007 Zync control board (Ctrl_C87) into place.
   • Reinstall the Face Plate: Secure the face plate back onto the miner.
6. Reconnect the Cables
   • Reconnect Cables: Reconnect the 3x 18-pin signal cables, PSU power extension cable, voltage regulating cable, and 4x fan cables to the new control board.
7. Firmware Installation
   • Prepare Firmware: Ensure you have the specific firmware for your model on an SD card. The Ctrl_C87 has a front-facing microSD card slot for easy firmware updates.
   • Install Firmware: Follow the SD card method to install the firmware. This typically involves:
     • Formatting the SD card to FAT32.
     • Unzipping the firmware file and copying it to the SD card.
     • Inserting the SD card into the control board.
     • Powering on the miner and waiting for the firmware installation to complete.
     • Removing the SD card once the installation is complete and rebooting the miner.
