BX_WIFI Warning

Bitaxe – AxeOS Connection Issues

WiFi connection failed or unstable

Warning — Should be addressed soon

Affected Models: All Bitaxe models

Symptoms

  • Cannot connect to AxeOS web interface
  • WiFi drops frequently
  • Bitaxe not visible on network

Step-by-Step Fix

1

When first powered on, Bitaxe creates a WiFi AP named 'Bitaxe_XXXX'. Connect to it and configure WiFi.

2

Ensure your WiFi is 2.4 GHz — the ESP32 does not support 5 GHz networks.

3

Move the Bitaxe closer to your WiFi router if signal is weak.

4

Try resetting WiFi settings by holding the boot button for 10+ seconds during power-on.

5

Check your router for the assigned IP address in the DHCP client list.
