BX_TEMP Warning

Bitaxe – Overheating

ASIC temperature exceeds safe threshold

Warning — Should be addressed soon

Affected Models: All Bitaxe models

Symptoms

  • AxeOS shows temperatures above 70°C
  • Automatic frequency throttling
  • Reduced hashrate

Step-by-Step Fix

1

Check that the heatsink is properly attached to the ASIC chip with thermal paste.

2

Ensure the small fan is plugged in and spinning.

3

Reduce the clock frequency in AxeOS settings to lower heat output.

4

Improve airflow around the Bitaxe — do not enclose it in a tight space.

5

Consider upgrading to a D-Central Bitaxe heatsink for better thermal performance.
