Hardware Wallet Display Solutions: Mounts for Ledger, Trezor, COLDCARD & Jade

Your Signing Device Deserves Better Than a Junk Drawer

Most people spend hundreds of dollars on a hardware wallet, set it up meticulously, write down their seed phrase on titanium plates, and then shove the device into a sock drawer. We get it — the security mindset says “hide everything.” But there is a difference between operational security and treating your signing device like something to be ashamed of.

A hardware wallet on display is a statement. It says you hold your own keys. It says you do not trust custodians. It says you have taken personal responsibility for your financial sovereignty — and you are not hiding that fact.

We build Bitcoin mining hardware, repair ASICs, and manufacture accessories for the home mining community. When we started designing 3D-printed mounts for hardware wallets, the goal was simple: give these devices the presentation they deserve, with the same build quality we put into our Bitaxe Mesh Stand and mining accessories.

Security First: When Display Makes Sense

Before we talk about mounts and placement, let us address the elephant in the room: should you display a device that guards your Bitcoin?

The short answer is that it depends on your setup and your threat model.

When display is perfectly fine:

  • Watch-only or signing-only setup — If you use your hardware wallet purely as a signing device with a separate watch-only wallet (Sparrow, Specter, Electrum), the hardware wallet itself contains no balance information visible to a casual observer.
  • Multisig configuration — In a 2-of-3 or 3-of-5 multisig setup, a single displayed device cannot move funds on its own. Displaying one key of a multisig quorum is no different from displaying a single lock on a vault that requires three keys.
  • Passphrase-protected wallets — If your wallet uses a BIP39 passphrase (the “25th word”), the device without the passphrase cannot access the protected wallet. The displayed device is effectively a decoy.
  • Home office or private space — If the display location is your private workspace, the threat model is minimal. Your Bitcoiner friends will appreciate it. Random visitors will not know what it is.
  • Educational or professional settings — If you teach Bitcoin self-custody, consult on security, or run a Bitcoin-related business, a displayed hardware wallet is a professional prop.

When you should keep it hidden:

  • Single-sig with significant funds — If one device controls all your Bitcoin and you receive regular visitors you do not fully trust, discretion is warranted.
  • High-traffic public spaces — Do not mount your COLDCARD on the wall of a co-working space.
  • No passphrase, no multisig — If the device is the single point of failure with no additional protection layers, store it securely out of sight.

The bottom line: most serious Bitcoiners use multisig or passphrases. For these setups, displaying a hardware wallet is no more risky than displaying a car key when the car also requires a fingerprint and a PIN.

D-Central’s Hardware Wallet Mounts

Every mount in our lineup is 3D printed in Canada from durable PLA or PETG. They are designed for precise fit — each mount is modeled to the exact dimensions of a specific wallet, not a generic one-size-fits-all tray.

COLDCARD Mk4 Mount

The COLDCARD is the signing device of choice for serious Bitcoiners — air-gapped, open-source, and built for paranoia-grade security. Our mount holds the Mk4 securely in either wall-mount or desk-stand orientation.

Features:

  • Precision-fit cradle for the COLDCARD Mk4 form factor
  • Wall mount and desk stand compatible — dual orientation
  • Open-source 3D design
  • Discreet profile — does not draw attention from non-Bitcoiners
  • Durable PLA construction, 3D printed in Canada

The COLDCARD Mk4 is already the most intimidating hardware wallet on the market. Mounted on a wall in your home office, it looks like mission control for your personal monetary sovereignty.

Ledger Nano X Wall Mount

The Ledger Nano X is one of the most popular hardware wallets in the world, and it deserves better than sitting on a desk with a tangled USB cable. Our mount positions it on the wall with a clean, minimal profile.

Features:

  • Secure fit for the Ledger Nano X body
  • Wall and desk compatible
  • Clean cable-free presentation
  • Lightweight and easy to install
  • 3D printed in Canada

Ledger Nano S Mount

The Nano S was many people’s first hardware wallet. If yours is still in service — and there is no shame in that, the Nano S is a solid device — give it a proper resting place between signing sessions.

Features:

  • Precision-fit holder for the Ledger Nano S form factor
  • Secure display stand for wall or desk
  • Cold storage dock design — looks intentional, not improvised
  • Durable 3D-printed construction

Trezor One Wall Mount

The original Trezor. The device that started the hardware wallet industry. Our mount holds the Trezor One in a wall-mounted position that keeps it accessible for signing while giving it the display treatment it has earned.

Features:

  • Secure wall-mount holder for the Trezor One
  • Precision fit — no wobble, no sliding
  • Clean minimal design
  • 3D printed in Canada

Jade Wallet Mount

Blockstream’s Jade is the open-source hardware wallet with a camera-based air-gap option — no USB required for signing. Our mount holds the Jade in either wall or desk position, with an open-source design that matches the wallet’s own philosophy.

Features:

  • Precision cradle for the Blockstream Jade
  • Wall mount and desk stand dual orientation
  • Open-source 3D design — download, modify, or print your own
  • Discreet and durable
  • 3D printed in Canada

The Jade’s green LED and compact form factor make it one of the best-looking devices to display. Mounted on a desk near your Bitaxe solo miner, it completes the sovereign Bitcoin setup.

SeedSigner Orange Case

The SeedSigner is not a traditional hardware wallet — it is a stateless signing device built on a Raspberry Pi Zero. It generates keys, signs transactions via QR codes, and retains nothing in memory after power-off. Our orange case protects the device and gives it a finished look worthy of its role in your security stack.

Features:

  • Sleek, durable protection for the SeedSigner assembly
  • Bitcoin orange color — because brand consistency matters even in self-custody
  • Access to camera, buttons, and display
  • Pairs with our SeedSigner DIY Kit for a complete build

Wall Mount vs. Desk Stand: Choosing Your Setup

Most of our mounts support both orientations. Here is how to decide:

Wall Mount Advantages:

  • Frees up desk space entirely
  • Creates a “command center” aesthetic — especially paired with wall art and signs
  • Keeps the device at eye level, visible and accessible
  • Works well in a gallery-wall arrangement with our 3D paintings
  • Better for devices you access less frequently (signing every few weeks)

Desk Stand Advantages:

  • Easiest to grab for a signing session — no unmounting
  • Works alongside your daily hardware setup (monitor, keyboard, Bitaxe)
  • Better for devices you use frequently
  • No wall holes needed — renters prefer this option
  • Easy to reposition or take with you

Our recommendation: If you run a multisig setup with 2-3 devices, wall-mount the least-used key and desk-mount the one you sign with most often. If you only have one device, desk stand gives you the fastest access for signing operations.

Multi-Device Display: The Collector’s Setup

If you have been in Bitcoin long enough, you accumulate hardware wallets. A Trezor from 2017. A Ledger from 2019. A COLDCARD you bought during the bear market. A Jade because you support Blockstream’s mission. A SeedSigner you built yourself because you trust open-source.

Rather than scattering these across drawers, build a dedicated display:

The Bitcoin Security Wall

  1. Mount your COLDCARD Mk4 at center — it is the flagship.
  2. Flank it with the Ledger Nano X and Trezor One mounts.
  3. Position the Jade below or to the side.
  4. Add a Bitcoin Logo Wall Plaque above the arrangement.
  5. Place your SeedSigner in its orange case on the desk below for active signing duty.

The Sovereign Desk Setup

  1. Desk-mount your primary signing device (whichever you use most).
  2. Position your Bitaxe solo miner next to it — mining and signing in one workspace.
  3. Add a HODL sign or Bitcoin Desk Logo for the finishing touch.
  4. Wall-mount the backup and multisig devices above.

The result is a workspace that reflects what you actually do: run your own node, mine your own blocks, hold your own keys. No custodians, no compromises.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the mount damage my hardware wallet?

No. Our mounts are designed as cradles — the wallet rests in a precision-fit holder without any adhesive, clamps, or pressure points. You can place and remove the device freely.

Are the mounts device-specific or universal?

Device-specific. Each mount is modeled to the exact dimensions of the wallet it supports (COLDCARD Mk4, Ledger Nano X, Ledger Nano S, Trezor One, Jade). This ensures a secure, wobble-free fit that a generic “universal” mount cannot provide.

What material are the mounts made from?

PLA or PETG thermoplastic, 3D printed in Canada. Both materials are lightweight, durable, and dimensionally stable at normal indoor temperatures. They will not scratch or mar the surface of your hardware wallet.

Can I use the mount with a USB cable connected?

Most mounts are designed for display when the device is not actively in use. For a signing session, simply lift the wallet from the mount, connect your cable, sign, and return it. The Jade mount works particularly well for QR-based signing since no cable is needed at all.

Is it safe to display my hardware wallet?

In most setups, yes. If you use multisig, a BIP39 passphrase, or a watch-only wallet configuration, displaying a single signing device is no more risky than displaying your car keys. See our security considerations section above for a detailed breakdown of when display is appropriate.

Do you make mounts for other hardware wallets?

We are continuously expanding the lineup. If you have a specific device you want a mount for, contact us and let us know. We design and manufacture in-house, so custom runs are possible.

Do the wall mounts include screws and anchors?

Mounting hardware details vary by product. Check the individual product page for what is included. Standard drywall screws work for most installations.

Can I 3D print these mounts myself?

Some of our mounts, like the COLDCARD Mk4 and Jade, feature open-source designs. Check the product description for design file availability. If you have a 3D printer, you can print your own. If not, we handle fabrication and quality control for you.

Why D-Central?

We have been building, repairing, and hacking Bitcoin mining hardware since 2016. We were among the first to manufacture the Bitaxe Mesh Stand, and we design and 3D print all of our accessories in Canada. Our hardware wallet mounts are built with the same precision and material quality as our mining accessories.

We are not a generic 3D print shop filling orders from Thingiverse. We are Bitcoiners building for Bitcoiners. Every product we make — from ASIC repair parts to solo miners to the mount that holds your COLDCARD — exists because we needed it ourselves first.
