Following this guide will assist in the proper installation or disassembly of Avalon A-Series Miners.

- 1x PH2 Hex Shank Screwdriver Bits
- 1x Anti-static wristband
- 1x Anti-static gloves
- 1x Anti-static outfit
Caution: Before disassembling the machines, please wear the recommended anti-static wristbands, gloves, and clothes. Ground the wristbands correctly and apply the proper amount of torque to the screw fasteners.
Disassemble Procedures: Step 1:
- Disconnect the power supplies of Fan3 and Fan4.
- Remove the two fixed screws.
- Push the lid in the direction indicated by the red arrow to remove it.
Step 2:
- Remove all the connectors between the Hash boards and the MM board.
Step 3:
- Unplug the power supply connector (small white).
- Unplug the temperature control connector (large white).
- Unplug the fans control connectors (black).
- Press and hold Fan1 and Fan2’s connectors, then unplug them.
Step 4:
- Remove the two fixed screws attached to the MM board and safely take out the MM board.
Step 5:
- Remove the ten fixed screws attached to the two aluminum strips, and then remove the aluminum strips.
- Remove the front and rear fixed screws (12 in total) following a diagonal order to detach the front and rear panels with fan assemblies.
Step 6:
- When removing the components of Fan1 and Fan2, be cautious of the temperature control cable and carefully take it out through the opening to prevent damage.
Step 7:
- Push a hash board in the indicated direction and pull out the three hash boards one by one. Ensure the miner’s frame is held firmly to avoid toppling.
Step 8:
- Take out the fixed screws (18 in total) and remove the heat sinks of the hash boards on both sides. A hash board comprises three heat sinks at the rear and one at the front.
Step 9:
- Additional Information: There are two slots on both sides of the front heat sink. Ensure those slots are aligned correctly.
Step 10:
- Additional Information: Apply silicon thermal grease (2W/m∙K) evenly on the chips of the hash board.
- Place the power supply on top and align the clip with the framework.
- Press down the clip and move the power supply away from you.
Step 11:
- Additional Information: The hooks on the framework correspond to the openings on the bottom of the power supply. Align the clip and power supply with the framework, then push the power supply box towards you until it clicks.
