Built by D-Central Technologies
The DCENT Suite: Open-Source Sovereignty Tools
Everything D-Central builds is open source, and every piece exists to push one more layer decentralized — from the firmware on an industrial miner to the words you dictate at your keyboard. This is the whole family in one place: what each tool is, how honest we are about its status, and how they fit together into a stack you actually own.
One Mission, Many Layers
D-Central are Bitcoin mining hackers. We are not Amazon, and we are not trying to be — we build hand-crafted, open-source tools for people who want to own their stack. Every DCENT project takes something that is usually rented, closed, or centralized and moves it back into your hands. None of it is disposable, and none of it is a black box. We stand on the shoulders of the open-source giants who came before us, and we say so on every page.
The Projects
Six projects, one philosophy. Status labels are honest — some source is public today, some is about to be, and some hardware is still on the drawing board.
DCENT_OS
Source-available beta · GPL-3.0
Open-source Rust mining firmware for industrial Antminers, S9 through S21. Quiet, efficient home and Hashcenter tuning. Source public on GitHub.
DCENT_axe
In design · CERN-OHL-S + GPL-3.0
Open-hardware Bitcoin miner in the Bitaxe lineage, with an onboard LoRa mesh radio on every board. Runs DCENT_OS for ESP.
DCENT_Toolbox
Source-available beta · GPL-3.0
A command-line toolkit to scan, diagnose, audit, and tune any miner fleet. pip install dcent-toolbox. Source public on GitHub.
DCENT_Voice
Private beta · source coming soon · GPL-3.0
Fully-local, private voice-to-text dictation. The workflow of cloud dictation apps, run entirely on your own machine with local models.
DCENT_Torrent
Private beta · source coming soon · GPL-3.0
A modern, sovereign BitTorrent client — 2026 quality-of-life on the open BitTorrent stack, for censorship-resistant, peer-to-peer distribution.
Web Flasher
Preview
A browser-based flasher for DCENT open-source miner hardware — flash a board from the browser with no toolchain to install. Binaries land as the firmware ships.
The Sovereign Stack
Each project owns a different layer of the thing you are trying to take back. Together with Bitcoin, Nostr, and mesh, they form a stack with no single point of control.
| Layer | Project | What you own |
|---|---|---|
| Firmware | DCENT_OS | The software running your industrial miner — 0% dev fee, no revoke. |
| Hardware | DCENT_axe | An open miner board that is also a mesh relay. |
| Tooling | DCENT_Toolbox | The tools to scan, audit, and tune your fleet yourself. |
| Dictation / AI input | DCENT_Voice | Your voice and your words, transcribed on your own machine. |
| Distribution | DCENT_Torrent | How your files and software move — peer-to-peer, no gatekeeper. |
See where these sit next to money, identity, and comms in the pleb’s sovereign stack and the sovereign AI hub.
Open by Default
Everything here is GPL-3.0 (the hardware adds CERN-OHL-S for the boards). That is not a marketing checkbox — it means you can read the code, audit it, build it, fork it, and keep running it no matter what happens to D-Central. All of it is experimental beta; none of it is production-ready or shipping flashable binaries yet, and we will always tell you which is which.
- GitHub: github.com/DCentralTech — DCENT_OS and DCENT_Toolbox are public today; DCENT_axe is public and in design; DCENT_Voice and DCENT_Torrent land shortly.
- Registry: our firmware and hardware are catalogued in the open-source mining registry alongside the projects we build on.
- Honest status: beta means beta. Do not run this on revenue-critical hardware you cannot afford to recover.
- Get involved: join the Discord to follow every project and help test.
