Antminer S5 evidence boundary
This is a distinct legacy SHA-256 miner identity. Current manufacturer support still recognizes the model as end-of-service, but the reviewed durable first-party material does not expose a complete exact specification table for this revision. Stored hashrate, power, efficiency, dimensions, mass, acoustics, release timing and derived economics are therefore withheld rather than reconstructed from reseller copies.
External PSU safety
This generation uses an external power supply. Do not treat a miner-side DC value as facility AC input. Before energizing a unit, authenticate the exact model/revision and nameplate, determine its DC range and connector count from matching first-party documentation, and then use the selected PSU nameplate for facility voltage, current, plug and branch-circuit requirements. Use one PSU per miner, verify connector polarity, ground the system, and connect hashboards before the control board.
Service and firmware
The manufacturer lists this model as end of service from May 9, 2020. Firmware, recovery media, controller and hashboard compatibility must be established from the physical unit and an exact artifact; a family resemblance is not cross-flash authorization.
