Goldshell DG Card modes and BYTE host boundary

The DG Card is a swappable Scrypt compute card for the Goldshell BYTE platform. Goldshell explicitly states that algorithm cards cannot operate separately, so this page does not treat the card as a standalone miner or use card power for facility economics.

Official card modes

Mode Hashrate Card power OEM efficiency
High-power 80 MH/s +/-5% 65 W +/-5% 0.81 J/MH
Default 65 MH/s +/-5% 45 W +/-5% 0.69 J/MH

These are card-mode values. They are not verified complete BYTE-system wall power, heat output, or electricity-cost operands. The listed workloads are LTC, DOGE, and BELLS.

Physical specification

Card dimensions are 123 x 21 x 88 mm and card weight is 0.325 kg. Package dimensions are 184 x 156 x 56 mm and package weight is 0.527 kg. The card fan specification is 5,500 rpm; the OEM page does not publish a sound-pressure value.

Required host and charger

The exact host is the Goldshell BYTE main unit. High-power mode requires Goldshell’s 140 W wall charger. Goldshell permits an owner-supplied charger for default mode only when it supports 20 V / 5 A. The OEM charger accepts 100-240 VAC at 2.5 A maximum and exposes USB-PD outputs through 20 V / 7 A. Those charger inputs and outputs must not be presented as direct card input.

Goldshell recommends shutting BYTE down before removing a card; hot swapping is not recommended. Bundle choices—card only, card plus BYTE, or card plus BYTE and charger—do not create different DG Card performance models.
