ICERIVER KS3 specifications, firmware and service reference
ICERIVER KS3 evidence-controlled reference: 8 TH/s at 3,200 W, exact 170-300 VAC and installation boundaries, official firmware and service routing.
Full Specifications
| Model | ICERIVER KS3 specifications, firmware and service reference |
|---|---|
| Model Number | KS3 |
| Manufacturer | IceRiver |
| Algorithm | KHeavyHash |
| Cooling | Air |
| Interface | Ethernet |
| Status | OEM-evidenced reference |
Evidence-controlled ICERIVER KS3 reference: this page covers the ICERIVER KAS KS3 air-cooled miner. A same-name miner from another manufacturer is a separate product. No specification, firmware, control board, part, or installation fact may cross between those identities.
| KAS hashrate | Wall power | Arithmetic efficiency |
|---|---|---|
| 8 TH/s ±10% | 3,200 W ±10% | 400 J/TH at nominal values |
Source-label caveat: ICERIVER’s product header and summary identify 3,200 W, while one detail-table cell incorrectly prints wall power as 3200W/h. Watts are the appropriate power unit, so this page preserves 3,200 W and discloses the defective source label. The 400 J/TH figure is transparent arithmetic from 3,200 W ÷ 8 TH/s, not a separately published manufacturer efficiency specification. It does not incorporate either ±10% tolerance.
Exact electrical and network boundary
| Voltage input | 170–300 VAC |
|---|---|
| Connection | Ethernet |
| Power cable | Not included |
| Cord identity | ICERIVER’s FAQ identifies C19 for KS3 |
The product page does not publish phase, frequency, maximum current, circuit-breaker rating, conductor size, plug, receptacle, inlet count, or connector wiring. A C19 cord identity is not a facility-circuit specification. Before energizing the miner, a qualified person must verify the exact unit nameplate, supply, circuit protection, conductors, grounding, disconnect, receptacle, and cord against local requirements. Do not substitute the narrower voltage range previously displayed on this profile.
Physical and environmental limits
| Miner dimensions | 370 × 195 × 290 mm |
|---|---|
| Packaged dimensions | 490 × 300 × 400 mm |
| Net weight | 14.7 kg |
| Gross weight | 17.6 kg |
| Operating temperature | 0–35°C |
| Acoustic guidance | Approximately 75 dB in ICERIVER’s FAQ for its large-miner KS3/KS5 class |
The acoustic value is FAQ guidance rather than a model-page measurement protocol. No storage temperature, humidity, altitude, fan count, fan speed, board count, chip count, controller identity, silicon identity, release date, or MSRP is asserted.
Firmware and control-board boundaries
- Use ICERIVER’s official firmware download and select the exact KS3 model and installed revision. ICERIVER says firmware updates do not increase hashrate and does not recommend updating a correctly functioning machine.
- Follow ICERIVER’s official tutorial workflow and the KS3/KS3L/KS3M operation manual. Do not remove power during an update or reboot.
- ICERIVER states that its control boards are suitable only for the corresponding model. A shared manual does not establish cross-model firmware, control-board, hashboard, PSU, fan, or other parts compatibility.
- ICERIVER warns that manually reducing automatic fan operation can cause overheating or damage. Power off and disconnect the miner before physical inspection.

Evidence boundary: this reference does not assert economics, residential suitability, useful-heat value, operating modifications, overclocking or underclocking, component interchangeability, replacement-part fitment, or a power-supply upgrade. Confirm every service part and firmware image against the exact ICERIVER KS3 hardware revision. Reviewed August 28, 2026.
