Terms and Conditions

Effective date: July 22, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern purchases, repair work, configured builds, digital materials, supporter contributions and other services supplied through d-central.tech by D-Central Technologies. They are written to tell you how the shop actually works.

1. Merchant identity

Your merchant is D-Central Technologies, a Canadian company based in Quebec. Our business address is 1325 Rue Bergar, Laval, Quebec, Canada. For order, return and warranty support, email support@d-central.tech or call 1-855-753-9997.

2. Scope and acceptance

By placing an order, approving a written quote, sending hardware after receiving our repair instructions, registering for the affiliate program, or purchasing a supporter subscription, you agree to the version of these Terms presented for that transaction. Product listings, checkout disclosures, written quotes and the linked policies below form part of the terms for the relevant transaction.

An order acknowledgement confirms that we received your order; it does not force us to accept an order that cannot be fulfilled. Before shipment or the start of service work, D-Central may decline or cancel an order where stock, a pricing error, payment verification, the delivery address, configuration, compliance requirements or service feasibility prevents fulfilment. If we cancel after collecting payment, we will return the amount collected to the original payment method, subject to applicable law.

3. Products, condition and configuration

Read the product page and order summary before you pay. A listing or written quote will identify the product as new, used, refurbished, as-is, parts-only, configured, made to order or otherwise specially prepared where applicable. The condition, included parts, configuration and compatibility stated for that product are part of the order.

Mining hardware is technical equipment. Product condition and warranty coverage are not interchangeable: new hardware follows the manufacturer warranty; refurbished hardware follows the D-Central coverage stated on the listing at purchase; as-is, final-sale, untested, salvage and parts-only products are governed by the express condition stated on their listing and by non-waivable law.

4. Build-to-order, configured and special-order work

Most D-Central hardware is built to order. Lead time is real bench work: sourcing, assembly, flashing, configuration and validation before shipment. Any lead-time estimate is a good-faith target, not a guaranteed delivery date. Quality over speed is the point of buying from a working shop.

Configured miners, custom builds, special orders and made-to-order work become non-refundable once sourcing, assembly, configuration or service work has started, except where the finished item is defective or dead on arrival or where applicable law gives you a non-waivable remedy. A product page or written quote may provide a more specific lead time or build scope for that order.

5. Prices, currency and taxes

Store prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless the page expressly says otherwise. Applicable sales taxes and shipping charges are calculated or disclosed at checkout. For deliveries outside Canada, import duties, taxes, customs charges and brokerage fees imposed by the destination country or carrier are the buyer’s responsibility and are separate from the amount paid to D-Central.

6. Payment methods and the Bitcoin discount

Available payment methods are shown at checkout. They include credit and debit card payments processed through Stripe, Bitcoin and Lightning payments through D-Central’s open-source, non-custodial BTCPay Server, and bank transfer where offered.

Choosing the Bitcoin / Lightning gateway applies an automatic 3% discount to the cart subtotal before shipping and tax. It is not a coupon. The discount appears when that gateway is selected and is removed if the order is switched to a non-Bitcoin payment method. An approved refund is returned through the original payment method in accordance with the Return, Refund and Repair Policy.

7. Shipping, delivery and risk of loss

Hardware orders ship from our Montreal-area bench. D-Central uses Canada Post and its ShipStation integration for parcel service. Print-on-demand merchandise is fulfilled through Printful and follows the fulfilment information shown for that item. Current rates, destination coverage and any free-shipping threshold are set out in the Shipping Policy and at checkout.

Build time and carrier transit time are separate. Tracking is provided when available after shipment. Weather, customs and carrier delays are outside D-Central’s direct control, but we will help investigate a delayed, lost or damaged parcel. You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and for responding to carrier or customs requests.

Where D-Central arranges shipment, risk of loss remains with D-Central until delivery, subject to applicable law. Once delivery is completed at the address supplied with the order, responsibility for secure receipt passes to the recipient. This does not limit a claim for a wrong item, shipping damage, a defect or dead-on-arrival hardware, and it does not transfer risk earlier than mandatory law permits.

8. DOA-only returns, refunds and cancellations

D-Central does not operate a change-of-mind returns desk for mining hardware. Returns are for defective or dead-on-arrival (DOA) hardware, a wrong item, a product materially different from its description, or another claim recognized by the Return, Refund and Repair Policy or applicable law.

  • A defect or DOA claim must be reported within 30 days after delivery. This is a fault-reporting window, not a general return window.
  • Email support@d-central.tech with the order number, product, a clear description and relevant photos or video.
  • Do not send anything back until D-Central approves the request and gives return instructions.
  • The item must be complete with included accessories and must not have been damaged by misuse, installation error, modification or improper handling.
  • After inspection, a confirmed claim may be resolved by repair, replacement, exchange, store credit or refund, as appropriate and as permitted by law.

Outside a confirmed defect, warranty claim or non-waivable legal right, used and refurbished hardware is final sale. Items expressly sold as as-is, final sale, untested, salvage or parts-only are not returnable, except where the wrong item was supplied, the item does not match the approved order details, or applicable law requires a remedy. Initial shipping charges are non-refundable unless D-Central approves otherwise because of our error. Return and exchange shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless D-Central gives different written instructions or applicable law requires otherwise.

9. Warranty and workmanship

Commercial warranty coverage depends on what was sold and is in addition to any legal warranty or other right that cannot be waived:

  • New hardware: covered by the manufacturer’s warranty for that model. D-Central will help you navigate the manufacturer’s process.
  • Refurbished hardware: bench-tested and covered by D-Central’s warranty as stated on the product listing at the time of purchase.
  • Configured builds: D-Central stands behind its workmanship on the terms stated in the product listing or written quote for the build.
  • D-Central repair work: covered for 30 days on the specific repair performed when warranty seals remain intact. Warranty handling for an individual hashboard repair remains subject to the assessment described in the Return, Refund and Repair Policy.

Coverage does not extend to damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, modification, improper handling or operation outside the requirements stated for the product. Full claim steps and exclusions are in the Warranty page and the Return, Refund and Repair Policy.

10. Repair and diagnostic services

Submit the repair intake form first and wait for shipping instructions. Do not send hardware without approval. By sending customer-supplied hardware after approval, you authorize D-Central Labs to inspect, disassemble, clean where appropriate, test, diagnose and attempt the approved repair.

Every repair starts with a bench diagnosis from $95 CAD, and the final price and repair scope are confirmed after diagnosis. If a hashboard cannot be repaired, a $30 repair-attempt fee per hashboard may be charged for diagnostics and resources used. A repaired used device is not restored to new condition; the repair addresses the apparent fault and the warranty covers the components and work actually performed.

Back up any configuration or data before service. To the extent permitted by law, D-Central is not responsible for data or configuration loss, component failure inherent in attempted testing or repair, or transport damage outside D-Central’s control. The customer is responsible for shipping charges, including shipping for warranty-repair cases, unless D-Central gives different written instructions or applicable law requires otherwise.

After notice that service is complete, the customer has 30 days to claim the device. After that, storage fees may be added as stated in the Return, Refund and Repair Policy: 15% of the amount receivable for the repaired device, divided into three monthly payments, plus a $10 base fee per month. Equipment left unpaid or unclaimed 90 days after official completion notice may be treated as abandoned and handled only in accordance with applicable law and D-Central’s service terms.

11. Digital goods and open-source software

Digital files, firmware and software may be supplied under a licence packaged with or linked from the project. That project licence governs the right to copy, modify and distribute the software. These Terms do not take away rights granted by an open-source licence.

DCENT_OS is released under the GNU General Public License version 3 (GPL-3.0). It is provided under the warranty disclaimer and limitation terms in that licence, including without a software warranty to the extent permitted by applicable law. The GPL software disclaimer does not remove a separately stated hardware or workmanship warranty and does not limit non-waivable consumer rights.

12. Supporter contributions and subscriptions

The Fund the Sovereign Stack program accepts voluntary one-time contributions and supporter subscriptions. D-Central is a company, not a registered charity, so these payments are not charitable donations and are not tax-deductible. Supporting does not buy a software licence, unlock code or grant extra open-source rights. Those rights already come from the applicable project licence.

Contribution amounts, billing intervals and supporter benefits are the ones displayed when payment is authorized. A supporter subscription may be cancelled at any time through the provided account controls; cancellation stops future charges and does not affect open-source rights already granted.

13. Affiliate program

D-Central operates an affiliate program using AffiliateWP. Registration, referral tracking, commission eligibility, payout information and program-specific conditions are presented in the Affiliate Area and any written affiliate terms supplied to a participant. Those program-specific terms govern affiliate participation; these Terms continue to govern any purchase made through an affiliate link.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, D-Central is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from a product or service, including lost profit, lost mining revenue, pool payout, exchange-rate loss, lost data or lost opportunity. To the maximum extent permitted by law, D-Central’s aggregate liability for an affected purchase or service will not exceed the amount paid to D-Central for that affected purchase or service.

These exclusions and limits do not apply where the law prohibits them, including liability that cannot be limited for bodily or moral injury, material injury caused by intentional or gross fault, D-Central’s personal acts or omissions where liability cannot be excluded, or a mandatory statutory warranty or remedy.

15. Consumer-law rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes, waives or reduces a right that cannot legally be waived under Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act, the Civil Code of Quebec, or other applicable Canadian law. Goods remain subject to applicable legal warranties, including that they be fit for their ordinary purpose and durable for a reasonable time in normal use where those rules apply. A final-sale, DOA-window, warranty, liability or return-shipping clause applies only to the extent the law permits. If these Terms conflict with a mandatory rule, the mandatory rule controls.

16. Privacy

D-Central handles personal information as described in the Privacy Policy. Payment providers, carriers and fulfilment partners process the information needed to complete their part of a transaction under their own terms and privacy practices.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and transactions with D-Central are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any non-waivable rule that gives a consumer the right to proceed elsewhere, disputes are submitted to the competent courts of Quebec.

18. Relationship with other terms

These Terms work with the product page, checkout disclosures, the Return, Refund and Repair Policy, the Shipping Policy, the Warranty page, the Privacy Policy, and any written quote or service agreement for the order. A more specific written quote or signed agreement controls for its transaction to the extent it lawfully differs from these general Terms.

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be read down or severed only to the extent necessary, and the rest remains in effect. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.

19. Changes to these Terms

D-Central may update these Terms for future transactions. Changes take effect when posted and do not rewrite the terms of an order already placed. The version presented at checkout or when a service is approved applies to that transaction.

20. Contact
