Description
Dive into the world of solo mining and hardware customization with the Bitaxe Ultra Hex 303. Designed to host six BM1366 ASIC chips (the same ones powering the Antminer S19 XP), this open-source motherboard pushes the boundaries of DIY projects. Whether you are an experienced technician or a 3D printing enthusiast looking to design the perfect enclosure, this printed circuit board delivers top-tier performance in a compact form factor.
Hardware Prerequisites (Cooling and Power)
Running six BM1366 chips generates a significant thermal output of around 90 watts. A robust cooling system is absolutely mandatory before powering on the board. You will need to install a high-quality heatsink paired with a powerful fan (an 80mm format is recommended) to avoid permanently damaging the components.
On the power side, the Bitaxe Ultra Hex 303 requires a reliable energy source. The board is powered exclusively by 12V DC via an XT30 connector. A 12V / 10A power supply (minimum capacity of 120W) is required to ensure hashing stability, especially if you plan to optimize the frequencies.
Select your base configuration
To suit your level of expertise and your component inventory, we offer two variants of this PCB:
- Pre-assembled Version (Without ASIC chips): Ideal for technicians who already own their BM1366 chips and want to handle the soldering themselves. The PCB comes populated with all SMD components, the ESP microcontroller, the XT30 power connector, and the display connector already installed.
- Fully Assembled Version (With 6x BM1366): The plug-and-play solution at the motherboard level. The 6 BM1366 ASIC chips are accurately soldered and tested. All you need to do is add your cooling solution and your 12V power supply to start mining.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a standard power supply for my Bitaxe Ultra Hex 303?
No, you must strictly use a 12V DC power supply capable of delivering at least 10A (120W) via an XT30 connector. The power supply must be stable to guarantee good performance.
Is the cooling system included?
No, the PCB is sold without a heatsink or fan. You have complete freedom to design or 3D print (PLA/PETG) your own custom cooling system and enclosure.
Is it difficult to configure the miner?
The device runs on AxeOS, an open-source firmware that includes a highly intuitive web interface. Once connected to your WiFi network, you can configure your mining pool and monitor your stats in just a few clicks.
