When You Need a Replacement Control Board

The control board serves as the central nervous system of your Antminer. It coordinates communication between hashboards, manages network connectivity, controls fan speeds, monitors temperatures, and runs the mining firmware. When a control board fails, the entire miner goes offline.

Common failure symptoms include:

  • Miner not detected on the network
  • Power-on but zero hashrate
  • Hashboards not recognized by the miner
  • Persistent firmware corruption or boot failures

  • Random reboots or crashes

Swapping the control board is a cost-effective repair that takes minutes, not hours. Disconnect the hashboard ribbon cables, fan headers, and power connections from the faulty board, remove it from the chassis, and install the new Ctrl_C81 board in its place.

Note: Ensure your miner uses the C81 board version before ordering. Different production batches of the same miner model may use different control board revisions (C76, C81, or C83). Check your existing board markings to confirm compatibility.
