DCENT_OS 0.9.0 beta20261002: Experimental Downloads by Exact Control Board

Experimental release: beta20261002, firmware 0.9.0

Start with your exact model and control board

  1. Identify the controller. Match the model suffix and the board target in the release card. A model sticker alone is insufficient. Use the control-board identification guide if you are unsure. Use it to identify the family, then use this release card for current package and recovery permission.
  2. Get one matched file set. Open your card below, download its original artifact and companion files into a separate folder, and keep their names unchanged. Identically named dcentos-sd.img files for different models are different images.
  3. Verify before preparing media or updating. Use the card's read-only verification with the explicitly announced development public key. Then review the installation and recovery boundary for that exact board.

Choose your method: 16 models use an SD trial with the card left inserted and no NAND writes. Base S9 has a first-install-only archive, requiring a confirmed source-firmware route. S19j Pro Zynq has an existing-DCENT_OS update; it is not a first install from stock firmware.

S17 means the exact am2-s17p card in this release; its producer filename does not extend coverage to S17 Pro. All listed sets are Zynq/Xilinx. Amlogic, BeagleBone and CVitek controllers do not inherit these downloads or methods.

Signed release channel: beta; maturity label: Experimental.

These packages use a development key explicitly approved for this Experimental distribution. The July public key and default installer trust pins remain unchanged. Select the development key explicitly for verification of this release.

Matching DCENT_OS project source is provided with partial dependency coverage. Third-party boot/kernel source correspondence and finished-image redistribution permission are unverified. Development signing-key approval does not establish redistribution permission or license clearance. One restricted compiler payload was withdrawn and is excluded from the replacement source bundle. No complete firmware corresponding-source, GPL-compliance or reproducibility claim is made. Fifteen unrelated raw vendor fixture files are excluded from the clean project-source replacement.

Original 17-set public dependency/legal inventory matches: 186 of 259 records; 72 remain unmatched; one restricted compiler payload is withheld. Read the source coverage README and delivery manifest, including the unverified third-party kernel and U-Boot correspondence.

T17e has a separate dependency/legal evidence inventory: 185 of 257 records matched, 71 unmatched and one restricted input withheld. Its distinct stock OM kernel/boot/fabric source correspondence and redistribution permission remain unverified. These counts do not replace the original 17-set inventory above.

Before you choose a download

Does a download mean my Antminer is qualified for mining?

No. These 18 exact-board sets passed package verification. Physical qualification remains pending; review the exact row's installation scope and recovery instructions.

Can an S17 image be used on S17 Pro or an Amlogic controller?

Do not infer compatibility from the family name. The S17 row covers am2-s17p on its documented Xilinx controller. It does not establish S17 Pro, Amlogic or BeagleBone installation availability.

What source material is public now?

Matching DCENT_OS project source is provided with partial dependency coverage. Third-party boot/kernel source correspondence and finished-image redistribution permission are unverified. Development signing-key approval does not establish redistribution permission or license clearance. One restricted compiler payload was withdrawn and is excluded from the replacement source bundle. No complete firmware corresponding-source, GPL-compliance or reproducibility claim is made. Fifteen unrelated raw vendor fixture files are excluded from the clean project-source replacement.

Voluntary support and donation controls

October default configuration disables donations at 0%; retained miner settings may differ. The optional contribution redirects scheduled mining time in Stratum V1, with 0–5% configured. Set it to 0 or disable it to opt out; saved changes require a daemon restart. Accepted shares and payout percentages are not guaranteed. Settings → Donation Fee displays the pool and worker; API/TOML configuration is available.

Support continued open-source development voluntarily

Preserve original filenames and adjacent signed sidecars. Standardized release labels identify models; they do not replace the signed original filenames. Each native SD image is an exact-board removable-media payload and does not authorize NAND installation.

Antminer S9 — am1-s9

Experimental; physical qualification pending. Zynq/Xilinx. Intended release label: DCENTOS_XIL1_S9_beta20261002.tar.

Choose this only for a confirmed first-install route. This archive is not an SD image and advertises no self-update. Keep an exact-unit full backup and verified restore preparation; if Toolbox cannot name a runnable source-firmware route, retain existing firmware.

Download dcentos-sysupgrade-118.tar — 20,602,880 bytes. SHA-256 aae398f4c36e76df3737185a0493cb83d5854a827bdd577cd4f8ffe272f4180b.

Installation boundary: Persistent first-install-only sysupgrade archive through an exact supported Toolbox source-firmware route. Not a raw SD image. Embedded update/upload fields are null; this artifact does not advertise self-update.

Recovery: Persistent recovery requires saved full backup and exact controller recovery instructions. Automatic failed-boot rollback is not guaranteed. Keep serial/SD recovery available where required by the selected route; no published current-artifact hardware recovery proof is claimed.

Pending; no current-artifact cold boot, accepted shares, endurance or recovery qualification claimed

openssl pkeyutl -verify -pubin -inkey approved-development-release.pub.pem -rawin -in producer-result.json -sigfile producer-result.json.sig
env -u DCENT_RELEASE_PUBKEY_HEX DCENT_RELEASE_PUBKEY_FILE=./approved-development-release.pub.pem dcent package inspect dcentos-sysupgrade-118.tar --json

POSIX-shell example: the environment assignment and removal of any overriding DCENT_RELEASE_PUBKEY_HEX are scoped to this command. The invoking shell and default trust pins remain unchanged. Package inspection is read-only and does not establish a runnable install route or change the running miner's trust.

Antminer S19jPro — am2-s19j

Experimental; physical qualification pending. Zynq/Xilinx. Intended release label: DCENTOS_XIL3_S19jPro_beta20261002.tar.

Already running DCENT_OS on am2-s19j? This is a guarded inactive-slot update. The running firmware must already accept this development authority; host verification does not change miner trust. Stock Bitmain, Braiins and VNish first installation require a different supported route. Keep a full exact-unit backup and verified restore preparation off the miner.

Download dcentos-sysupgrade-am2-s19jpro.tar — 24,709,120 bytes. SHA-256 743be38fddf3677dc530fe369a09f468ccdfc7cc621e2629773c650f9d35cca2.

Installation boundary: Guarded existing-DCENT_OS target-side sysupgrade on am2-s19j; inactive slot required. Not vendor-stock first install, an AM2 first-install capsule or SD image. The running firmware must already accept this development authority; a host key override alone is insufficient. This publication does not authorize changing miner runtime trust settings.

Recovery: Keep full backup and exact board recovery media off miner. Follow completed write/readback and route power-cycle prompt; upload acceptance is not boot proof and route does not guarantee automatic reboot. No assumed auto-revert; use saved exact recovery procedure, never raw guessed boot environment writes.

Pending; no current-artifact cold boot, accepted shares, endurance or recovery qualification claimed

Package inspection is read-only and does not establish a runnable install route or change the running miner's trust.

Antminer S9i — am1-s9i

Experimental; physical qualification pending. Zynq/Xilinx. Intended release label: DCENTOS_XIL1_S9i_beta20261002.img.

Before you prepare this SD trial

  1. Download this image and all four signed companions plus the tester notes into one model-specific folder, preserving their names: dcentos-sd.img.sig, dcentos-sd.img.manifest.json, dcentos-sd.img.runtime-image.json and dcentos-sd.img.runtime-image.sig.
  2. Run this card's complete read-only verification using the announced development public key. A checksum checks bytes; it does not authenticate the package.
  3. Review this exact controller's SD boot-selection and recovery instructions; record its original boot selection. Preparing an image erases the selected card, so identify the removable device before writing.

Download the tester notes through EXPERIMENTAL-GUIDE.txt and save them as TESTER_README.txt in this same folder. Keep the SD card inserted during the trial. This does not install to NAND. For recovery, complete Stop/shutdown, power off, remove SD and restore the original boot selection. Physical qualification remains pending.
