Description
L3+ S9 DC-DC Boost Module (14V) for Hashboard Repair
This L3+ s9 dc-dc boost module hashboard repair is a direct replacement part for your ASIC miner.
The L3+ S9 DC-DC Boost Module is a drop-in replacement voltage regulator module for repairing Antminer L3+ and S9 hashboards. This module replaces the original RT8537 boost circuit that converts the hashboard input voltage (10-10.4V) up to the required 14V operating voltage for the ASIC chip power domains. When the original boost circuit fails, this module can be soldered directly onto the hashboard without any wire jumpers needed.
Key Specifications
- Input Voltage: 3.7V – 12V DC
- Output Voltage: Up to 14.2V (adjustable via trimmer potentiometer)
- Function: DC-DC step-up (boost) converter
- Protection: Under-voltage lockout, current limiting, thermal overload protection
- Adjustment: Multi-turn trimmer potentiometer for precise output voltage tuning
- Installation: Direct solder, no jumper wires required
Compatible Mining Hardware
- Bitmain Antminer L3+ hashboards
- Bitmain Antminer S9 hashboards
When You Need This Module
On L3+ and S9 hashboards, the RT8537 switching power supply circuit (typically located at U111) is responsible for boosting the DC-DC voltage from approximately 10V to 14V. This boost circuit powers the ASIC chip voltage domains, and when it fails, the affected voltage domain and its associated chips stop hashing entirely.
Common symptoms of a failed boost circuit include:
- One or more ASIC chips reporting zero hashrate while others function normally
- Voltage domain reading significantly below 14V when measured with a multimeter
- Hashboard producing reduced total hashrate proportional to the failed domain
- Visible damage or burn marks around the RT8537 IC area
This replacement module simplifies the repair process. Instead of sourcing and soldering tiny individual SMD components to rebuild the original boost circuit, you solder in this complete module. The multi-turn potentiometer allows you to precisely dial in the output voltage to the optimal 14V-14.2V range for maximum hashboard stability and performance.
Skill Level: Intermediate soldering skills required. A soldering iron with a fine tip and flux are recommended for clean connections.
