All 13 Antminer models in the canonical registry carry the public status shown above. Experimental is intended for testing, development, informed operators and non-critical deployments. It is not Stable or GA and is not recommended for an irreplaceable fleet.

Release availability does not erase hardware limits. Verified prebuilt files, accepted-share evidence, installation authorization and recovery maturity remain separate for every exact model and board lane.

BraiinsOS+

Braiins publishes native Stratum V2, per-chip autotuning, immersion support, exact model/control-board downloads and GPG verification. Its current fee is 2–2.5% depending on hardware. Braiins also publishes meaningful open components and BCB100 hardware; the complete mining firmware is not published as open source. Its site reports operation since 2018 and hundreds of thousands of miners; those fleet figures remain vendor-reported.

VNish and LuxOS

VNish publishes model-specific builds, tuning controls and model-dependent fees; its current pages list 2.8% for S19/S21 and 2% for L7/L9, while older-model terms differ. LuxOS publishes a 2.8% fee, exact Antminer and WhatsMiner board/hashboard lanes, fleet controls, and vendor claims of SOC 2 Type 2 status and reducing a miner to about 25 W in under five seconds. The reviewed vendor pages did not document native Stratum V2 or a general household-voltage route for either product; those cells are not verified, not categorical negatives.

AxeOS (Bitaxe and open hardware)

AxeOS publishes source for Bitaxe-class open hardware. It is a different electrical and operational class from an industrial Antminer, so verify protocol support, board coverage and the exact release at the project source rather than flattening the two.

Stock (Bitmain)

Stock Bitmain firmware is the manufacturer recovery and support baseline and carries no third-party firmware fee. Features, security policy and installation packages vary by exact model and release. Use the model-matched vendor record, then run your own fee, electricity and measured-efficiency inputs through the cost-of-ownership calculator.

One thing that is true of all of them

Published tuning algorithms, voltage domains and eligible boards differ. Compare accepted hashrate, wall power, rejects, temperature and stability under equivalent conditions, and stay within the exact PSU, circuit and cooling limits. No universal tuning gain is assumed to exceed the effective fee.
