This converts power; it does not size a room. Design heat loss depends on outdoor design temperature, insulation, air leakage, windows, ceiling height, adjoining spaces, and ventilation. Energy example: a measured 1.4 kW load running 12 hours per day for 243 days uses about 4,082 kWh. Multiply that energy by the applicable tier on your bill; do not assume a national or flat Quebec rate. The avoided-cost credit is strongest when the miner directly replaces resistance heat in a room that needs it. It is smaller when some heat is exhausted outdoors or the space overheats.
