La facturation nette et le crédit net décident comment un service public crédite l'électricité excédentaire qu'un système solaire résidentiel (ou autre renouvelable) réinjecte dans le réseau — soit exactement le chiffre qui façonne le calcul de rentabilité d'une installation de minage Bitcoin derrière le compteur ou hors réseau. Cette référence résume 12 programmes provinciaux et territoriaux canadiens : l'administrateur, s'il s'agit d'une vraie facturation nette (un crédit kWh 1:1) ou d'un crédit net (un crédit monétaire, souvent sous le tarif de détail), le plafond de taille du système, comment les crédits se reportent, et quelle production est admissible. Important : ces valeurs changent, et plusieurs provinces sont en transition (le nouveau tarif d'autoproduction de BC Hydro au 1er juillet 2026 ; l'admission suspendue du Yukon). La plupart des provinces offrent une facturation nette au tarif de détail 1:1 avec réinitialisation annuelle (Ontario 12 mois ; N.-B., N.-É., Î.-P.-É., T.-N.-L. annuel ; Québec une banque de 24 mois). L'Alberta et le Manitoba fonctionnent en crédit net, où les exports sont payés à un tarif distinct, généralement plus bas. Les plafonds vont de 15 kW (Nunavut) à 5 MW (Alberta). Comme l'excédent est rarement payé au plein tarif de détail, dimensionner pour l'autoconsommation rapporte généralement plus que l'export.
