Want to buy an ASIC miner in Canada without the customs headaches, surprise brokerage fees, and weeks of waiting for a box to clear the border? You are in the right place. D-Central is a Canadian Bitcoin mining shop, built and run by mining hackers in Laval, Quebec. We have been hands-on with this hardware since 2016 — we sell, configure, repair, host, and support ASIC miners for Canadian Bitcoiners, hobbyists, and small businesses building their own Hashcenters.
We are not a dropshipper. We are the shop that picks up the phone in English or French, ships from Canadian soil, and is still here when your unit needs a hashboard repaired three years from now.
Why Buy Your Antminer in Canada (From a Canadian Shop)
Buying from a U.S. or overseas reseller can look cheaper on the product page until the real bill arrives. When you buy from D-Central, the math is simpler and the experience is local:
- Ships from Canada. Inventory leaves our Laval, Quebec facility, so you skip international border clearance, lengthy transit, and the gamble of a unit stuck in customs limbo.
- Priced and paid in CAD. No live USD conversion roulette at checkout, no foreign-transaction fees stacked on by your card issuer.
- GST/HST handled correctly. Canadian sales tax is calculated and collected at checkout the way it should be — no ambiguous “duties and taxes due on delivery” notes from a courier.
- No surprise customs or brokerage fees. The price you agree to is the price of the deal. We have watched too many people get blindsided by brokerage charges on imported miners.
- Pay your way. We accept Bitcoin and major cards. Stacking sats and want to spend them on more hashrate? That is exactly the kind of customer we built this shop for.
- Bilingual support, EN/FR. Real people who actually run miners, available in both official languages.
This is not a knock on shops elsewhere — the global mining community is what makes any of this possible. The point is simpler: if you are in Canada, a Canadian shop removes a whole category of friction.
What You Can Buy
We carry current-generation air-cooled and hydro Antminer models alongside other proven hardware, plus open-source gear for tinkerers. Browse the live catalogue on our shop, or dig into the spec sheets in our miner directory if you want to compare models before you commit.
Production Miners
From efficient modern units like the S21 family down to budget-friendly older stock for hobby setups and home heating, we help you match the machine to your power situation, your goals, and your electricity rate. Not sure whether a model fits your panel or your hosting plan? Ask us before you buy — that conversation is free and it saves people real money.
Open-Source and Solo Mining
If your interest is sovereignty and learning rather than raw hashrate, the open-source path is a great place to start. Our Bitaxe hub covers the open-source single-ASIC miners that the Skot/Bitaxe project and the wider open-hardware community made possible — low-power, hackable, and perfect for lottery solo mining or simply understanding how this technology works from the silicon up.
Build-to-Order Custom Editions
This is where being a small, hands-on shop pays off. We build miners to order — hand-assembled, bench-tested, and configured before they ship. That can mean a specific firmware setup, an immersion- or hydro-ready configuration, a quiet build for a home office, or a space-heater configuration for cold Canadian winters. Tell us the constraint and we will tell you honestly whether we can build it.
Firmware: Choose What Fits You
A miner is only as good as the software running it. We will configure your unit on stock firmware or on the third-party firmware that fits your needs — there are several mature options in the ecosystem, each with its own strengths, and most carry a small developer fee (commonly in the rough range of two to roughly three percent, depending on the firmware and the features you enable). We are grateful for the work those teams have done; tools like advanced autotuning and Stratum V2 came from that community, not from us.
We also build our own contribution, DCENT_OS — one more option, in the spirit of one more layer of decentralization. It is currently in closed beta, licensed GPL-3.0, with a public beta expected in summer 2026. It is experimental and not production-ready, so we do not recommend running it on revenue-critical hardware yet. If you want to see how the options stack up before deciding, our firmware comparison lays out the trade-offs side by side.
Repair, Hosting, and Consulting — Not Just a Sale
The reason to buy local is everything that happens after checkout. A miner runs hot, 24/7, for years, and things break. We have run an in-house ASIC repair lab since 2016, so when a hashboard fails you have somewhere to send it that is on the same continent and speaks your language.
- ASIC repair. Hashboard and control-board diagnostics and component-level repair in our own lab — not a return-to-manufacturer black hole.
- Hosting. No room, no cheap power, or noise-sensitive neighbours? We can host your hardware so you mine without turning your home into a Hashcenter.
- Mining consulting. Planning a larger deployment, a heat-reuse project, or a commercial Hashcenter build-out? We help with site, power, thermal, and firmware strategy before you spend the capital.
New to the terminology? Our mining glossary explains the jargon — hashrate, J/TH efficiency, immersion, curtailment, and the rest — in plain language.
Quality Over Speed — That Is the Whole Point
We would rather ship you the right machine, configured correctly and tested, than rush a box out the door. That philosophy is why people who bought from us in 2017 still email us in 2026. Bitcoin mining rewards operators who think long-term, and so do we.
