Whatsminer / S21 Integrated PSU-Capture Shroud

Priced by quote

A single-body shroud that captures both the fan exhaust and the power supply exhaust on Whatsminer and S21 platforms, so one duct carries everything the machine produces.

Description

In development — not yet available to order. Blocked on verified chassis and PSU extents for the Whatsminer and S21 platforms. The S19 version taught us that guessing these dimensions produces a part that cannot be built.

Overview

A single-body shroud that captures both the fan exhaust and the power supply exhaust on Whatsminer and S21 platforms, so one duct carries everything the machine produces.

What it fits

Planned around the Whatsminer M-series and Antminer S21 chassis with their integrated power supplies. Exact coverage depends on measurements we have not yet taken.

How it is used

It will replace the current two-part approach — a fan shroud plus a separate PSU duct merged with a Y-splitter — with a single body and a single duct run.

Why it helps

Fewer parts, fewer joints, fewer places to leak, and one wall penetration instead of a merged pair. The catch is size: integrated capture bodies get very large very quickly, which is precisely why this one is waiting on real measurements rather than optimistic ones.

  • Captures fan exhaust and PSU exhaust in one body
  • Replaces the current shroud-plus-PSU-duct-plus-splitter approach
  • Blocked on verified chassis and PSU extents, not on design effort

Open source — print it yourself, or buy it finished

Every shroud D-Central designs is released as an open file. The geometry for this part is free to download from our 3D models download center: use it, modify it, remix it, run it in your own shop, sell what you make from it. There is no licence to buy and no design gated behind a purchase. Shared knowledge is the whole reason this industry has open hardware at all, and we are not going to be the ones who stop passing it on.

This part is not finished yet, so there is no file to download and nothing to buy. When it is done, both arrive at the same time — the file free, the finished part for sale. If the open-source work is worth something to you in the meantime, you can back it directly through D-Central’s fund page.

Frequently asked questions

Why is this taking so long?

Because we tried the equivalent on the S19 and the honest full-capture geometry came out at over 400 mm on its longest axis — too large to produce as a single piece. We shipped a spill-lip version instead. We would rather repeat that discipline here than announce a part that turns out to be unbuildable.

What should I use in the meantime?

A fan shroud for your machine plus the 4-inch PSU exhaust shroud, merged into one trunk with a 6″ to dual 4″ Y-splitter. More fittings, same result.
