Everything a shroud carries is carried by its base. The duct hangs off it, the clamp pulls on it, and if the machine lives in a rack the whole assembly gets knocked every time you work on the neighbour. This is the wide-base version of our 160 mm metric shroud: the mounting base is 260 mm across instead of 250 mm, so the flange reaches further out across the fan face and the load is spread over more of the chassis.

The duct end is untouched: same 160 mm metric collar, 160.0 mm crest, 158.0 mm sealing land, single-piece PETG body. You are buying mounting surface, not a different outlet.

Where it earns the extra footprint: heavy insulated 160 mm duct, vertical runs where the duct hangs on the shroud, and dense shelving or rack installs where the part gets handled.

What it fits, and when to choose it over the standard base

Any miner with two touching 120 mm exhaust fans on a 120.0 mm pitch, 116.0 mm bore per fan with a 2.0 mm sealing land per side, exhausting into 160 mm metric flex duct. That is the Antminer S19 series, S19j Pro and S19 XP included, and the standard S21.

Choose this version when the mounting side is the demanding part of your install. Choose the standard 250 mm base 160 mm shroud when it is not: the airflow path is the same and the narrower base takes less room behind the machine. The wide-base idea also runs through the imperial line, in the wide-base dual 120 mm to 6-inch shroud and the wide-base dual 120 mm to 8-inch shroud.

How it installs

1. Offer the 260 mm base up to the fan face and check it clears whatever sits beside the machine.
2. Align on the stock fan screw pattern and drive through the 5.0 mm holes and 5.424 mm slots, using the miner’s own large-head fan screws or a 9 mm or larger flat washer under your own.
3. Slide 160 mm metric duct over the collar and clamp on the 158.0 mm land.
4. Support the duct near the shroud if it is insulated or running vertically.

Why a broader base is a real engineering choice

A flange transfers load through the area it touches. Widen it and the same clamping force is spread over more contact area, which reduces how much the flange can flex between fixings. Flex is what breaks a seal: a base that lifts slightly at one corner opens a leak path around the fan bore, and hot air escaping at the machine never reaches your duct.

None of that changes the flow path: both 120 mm columns still merge inside the body and converge into the same 160 mm collar.
