Built around the S17-series chassis exhaust end, covering the S17, S17 Pro, S17+, T17 and T17+ — the BM1397-based machines that share that form factor. Standard 6-inch collar on the outlet. This revision is dimensioned generously and may sit looser on some units than the S19 wrap does on its chassis.
Measure before you order. Fit dimensions in this line are derived from published fan and chassis geometry and are not yet validated against measured production hardware. Check your flange size and the clearance around your machine against the footprint in the specifications below. If something does not fit, tell us — that is how the next revision gets better.
Slide it over the exhaust end and clamp 6-inch duct to the collar. On S17-class hardware, which runs hot and has a well-earned reputation for thermal trouble, getting the exhaust properly out of the room is worth doing carefully.
The S17 generation is the definitive second-hand miner: cheap to acquire, temperamental, and disproportionately likely to be running in a space that was never designed for it. Full-wrap ducting is what makes that workable. It also keeps the exhaust away from the intake, which matters more on a machine already fighting for thermal headroom than it does on a modern unit with margin to spare.

The geometry for this part is free to download from our 3D models download center: use it, modify it, remix it, run it in your own shop, sell what you make from it. There is no licence to buy and no design gated behind a purchase. Shared knowledge is the whole reason this industry has open hardware at all, and we are not going to be the ones who stop passing it on.

The S17, S17 Pro, S17+, T17 and T17+ share the chassis family this is built around. Note that the S17e and T17e are a different chip generation and may differ dimensionally — measure before ordering if that is what you have.
This revision is dimensioned on the generous side and may sit looser on some units than a snug wrap would. No shroud in this line is hardware-validated yet. If it is loose on yours, tell us — and the open file means you can tighten it up yourself in the meantime.
If you are running one, yes. They are hot, loud machines and they benefit more from a clean exhaust path than newer hardware does — separating exhaust from intake is a real thermal gain on a machine with little headroom.
For a full wrap on a hot machine, the 8-inch version is the safer default unless your exit is short and straight.
