Description

Antminer S21 Pro shroud, dual 140 mm to 200 mm metric duct

An Antminer S21 Pro shroud has to start from the right fan face. The S21 Pro and S21+ generation exhausts through two 140 mm fans, not the 120 mm pair every S19-era shroud is drawn around. This one is cut to the S21 Pro face: two 140 mm fans on a 140.0 mm pitch, 134.0 mm bore each with a 3.0 mm sealing land, in a 292 mm wide body.

The outlet is 200 mm metric, the largest collar in the range and the size the larger metric inline duct fans and Avalon Q ducting are built in. It is not 8 inches, which is 203.2 mm. Both fan columns merge inside one piece of PETG and converge into a collar with a 200.0 mm crest and a 198.0 mm sealing land.

What it fits: Antminer S21 Pro and S21+ class, 200 mm metric duct

Antminer S21 Pro and S21+ class machines with two 140 mm exhaust fans, exhausting into 200 mm metric duct. What actually decides fitment is the fan face, so any machine built with the same dual-140 layout at a 140.0 mm pitch mounts on this flange.

Same chassis, different duct size: the S21 Pro dual 140 mm to 6-inch shroud and the S21 Pro dual 140 mm to 8-inch shroud cover the imperial sizes. If your machine is a 120 mm fan S19 or standard S21, none of the S21 Pro parts fit it, and the equivalent is the dual 120 mm to 200 mm metric shroud.

How it installs

  1. Sit the 292 mm body over both 140 mm exhaust fans and align it on the stock fan screw pattern.
  2. Drive the screws through the 5.0 mm holes and 5.424 mm slots, reusing the machine’s own large-head fan screws or fitting a 9 mm or larger flat washer under your own.
  3. Push 200 mm metric duct over the collar, past the 200.0 mm crest.
  4. Clamp onto the 198.0 mm sealing land, support the duct near the machine, and carry on to the inline fan, plenum or window port.

Why a dedicated S21 Pro part

Universal parts are a compromise at the flange, and the flange is where a shroud either seals or leaks. Drawing the body to one chassis lets the outline stay at 292 mm instead of spreading to 300 mm, and it lets the screw bosses sit where a driver can actually reach them: the tightest fan screw on this part has 10.77 mm of clearance around the head, the most generous in the metric line. That is the difference between fitting the shroud and fighting it in a rack bay.

Downstream of the flange the two 140 mm columns merge before the round transition starts, then the section opens gradually into the 200 mm collar so the flow stays attached rather than separating at a step.

  • Drawn to the S21 Pro / S21+ dual-140 face rather than adapted from a 120 mm pattern.
  • Gives the tightest fan screw 10.77 mm of driver clearance, the roomiest in the metric line.
  • Keeps the body 292 mm wide, narrower than the universal dual-140 shrouds.
  • Opens to a true 200 mm metric collar for large inline fans and Avalon Q ducting.
  • Seals by clamp on the 198.0 mm land, 200.0 mm crest as the stop.
  • Prints as one PETG piece, with no bonded seam across the widest section.

Open source: the S21 Pro file is free too

The chassis-specific parts are given away on the same terms as everything else. D-Central Technologies drew this shroud around the S21 Pro exhaust face, measured it on the 292 mm body, and released it under CC BY-SA 4.0 at the 3D models download center: download, modify, print, sell. It has its own card at the S21 Pro 200 mm entry, and the file is the S21 Pro 200 mm shroud bundle — STL, CC BY-SA 4.0 licence, installation and safety guide. A newer machine should not mean waiting for someone to decide the file is worth publishing.

This listing is the finished shroud, produced to order in PETG in Montreal, Quebec, black or orange, and shipped from Canada. The file was free on release day and stays free; what a purchase, or a contribution through the D-Central fund page, pays for is being early on the chassis after this one.

Frequently asked questions

Does an S19 shroud fit the S21 Pro?

No, and it is worth being blunt about it. The S19 and standard S21 exhaust through two 120 mm fans on a 120.0 mm pitch; the S21 Pro and S21+ use two 140 mm fans on a 140.0 mm pitch with a 134.0 mm bore. Different screw positions, different bore, different body width. Buy by fan size, not by the S21 in the name.

What about the S21 XP or other 140 mm machines?

The fan face decides. If the machine exhausts through two 140 mm fans on a 140.0 mm pitch, this flange lands on it. If you would rather have a body drawn to the generic dual-140 pattern with a slightly wider outline, that is the universal dual 140 mm to 200 mm shroud.

200 mm or 8 inch for an S21 Pro?

Buy whichever your hose and inline fan are. They are 3.2 mm apart and not interchangeable: 8 inches is 203.2 mm, this collar is 200.0 mm. If your parts are metric, this is the one; if they are imperial, take the 8-inch S21 Pro shroud and keep the whole run in one system.

Is 6 inch enough for a machine this size?

It works for a short, straight run, and plenty of people do it. The trade is pressure: a narrower pipe costs more per metre and gets noisier as velocity rises, so the longer and more bent the run, the more you gain by going wide. On a high-power dual-140 machine, 200 mm or 160 mm is the comfortable range.
