Dual 140 mm fan to 160 mm metric duct shroud
If you run a 140 mm fan machine on metric duct, 160 mm is usually the size that suits it. The dual-140 generation is the high-power end of air-cooled mining, it puts a lot of hot air into a pipe, and 160 mm gives that air noticeably more room than the 150 mm domestic size without demanding the space and cost of a 200 mm run. This shroud captures both 140 mm exhaust fans and converges them into a single 160 mm collar.
No imperial collar can do this. Six inches is 152.4 mm and eight is 203.2 mm, so 160 mm falls squarely in the gap between them, which is why an inch-sized shroud plus an adapter is the usual compromise. Cutting the collar at 160 mm from the start removes the adapter and the extra joint that comes with it.
The fan side is drawn to the 140 mm face: 140.0 mm pitch, 134.0 mm bore per fan, 3.0 mm sealing land per side, in one PETG body.

Miners with two 140 mm exhaust fans on a 140.0 mm pitch, exhausting into 160 mm metric flex duct. The dual-140 face is what defines it, so it covers the S21 Pro and S21+ class and anything else built the same way.
Neighbouring sizes in the same family: the dual 140 mm to 150 mm shroud for domestic metric hose, and the dual 140 mm to 200 mm shroud for the largest metric runs. On imperial fittings, the universal dual 140 mm to 8-inch shroud. If your machine runs 120 mm fans, you want the dual 120 mm to 160 mm version.
How it installs
- Line the flange up over both 140 mm exhaust fans on the fan screw pattern.
- Screw through the 5.0 mm holes and 5.424 mm slots, using the miner’s own large-head fan screws or your own with a 9 mm or larger flat washer.
- Slide 160 mm metric flex duct over the collar and past the 160.0 mm crest.
- Clamp onto the 158.0 mm sealing land.
- Support the duct near the shroud if it is insulated or runs vertically, then route it out.
Why this size suits a dual-140 machine
Two effects stack up in favour of the larger collar. First, wall friction: a wider pipe has less wetted perimeter per unit of flow area, so a long run costs less pressure. Second, velocity: the same volume of air through a bigger hole travels slower, and air noise in ducting climbs steeply with speed. A dual-140 machine is producing enough air that both effects are worth having, and 160 mm buys them without the bulk of a 200 mm run behind the miner.
Inside the body the two 140 mm columns merge before the transition to round begins, so the collar receives one stream.

Download it, change the collar, print a dozen, sell them. We would rather the design spread than sit behind a paywall while people tape hose to funnels.

Frequently asked questions
Why does 160 mm exist if 6 inch is close?
It is not close. Six inches is 152.4 mm, which is 7.6 mm under 160 mm, and no clamp closes that on flexible hose. Metric ventilation steps 150, 160, 200 while imperial steps 6 and 8, so 160 mm has no inch counterpart at all. If your hose is 160 mm, this is the collar it was made for.
Does the larger body make the fan screws awkward?
No. The body is 300 mm across to cover a dual-140 face, and the tightest fan screw still has 8.69 mm of clearance around the head, which is enough for a normal driver rather than a stubby bit. The 5.424 mm slots also let you square the shroud on the chassis before anything is tightened.
Which is better for an S21 Pro, 160 mm or 200 mm?
160 mm is the sensible default for a short or medium run and takes far less space behind the machine. Move to the 200 mm version when the duct is long, has several bends, feeds a 200 mm inline fan, or carries more than one machine. Both use the same dual-140 capture.
Can I fit this to an S19?
No. An S19-class machine exhausts through two 120 mm fans on a 120.0 mm pitch, and this flange is cut for a 140.0 mm pitch with a 134.0 mm bore. The part you want is the dual 120 mm to 160 mm metric shroud, which puts the same 160 mm collar on the S19 fan pattern.
