Bayonet quick-release shroud: the duct comes off in a quarter turn
A bayonet twist-lock duct adapter is for the operator whose machines do not stay put. Hashboard swaps, fan replacements, seasonal rerouting, a rack shuffle — each one means breaking the duct joint, and doing that with a hose clamp means a nut driver, a dropped screw and a duct end that gets a little more chewed every time. This shroud hoods both 120 mm exhaust fans of an Antminer S19 or standard S21 and finishes in bayonet tabs instead of a plain collar: the joint twists apart by hand, with nothing to loosen and nothing to lose.
It works as a pair. The 6-inch bayonet duct receiver stays on your 6-inch duct run, the shroud stays on the machine, and the break happens between them. The tabs stand wider than plain 6-inch duct and are not meant to take it directly — the receiver is the mating half, sold separately so a shop can keep one per duct drop.
What it fits, and what you also need

If you would rather not add a second part to the order, the plain plain wide-base 6-inch shroud takes flex duct straight onto its collar. For a joint that is tool-free but holds on a thread rather than a quarter turn, look at the wide-base threaded shroud. The same bayonet on the 250 mm flange is the standard-base bayonet shroud.
How it goes on
- Mount the shroud over both exhaust fans with M4 screws through the eight flange slots, with a 9 mm or larger flat washer under each head or the miner’s own large-head fan screws. Driver clearance runs 8.10 to 11.18 mm at every hole.
- Fit the bayonet receiver to your 6-inch duct and leave it there — it becomes part of the run, not part of the machine.
- Offer the receiver up to the shroud tabs and twist to lock.
- To service the machine, twist the other way and lift the duct clear.
Why put the wear in a printed joint
Every duct connection has a part that takes the abuse of being made and unmade. On a clamped joint that part is the duct itself: the band bites the same spot each time, the spiral wire deforms, and eventually the end has to be cut back. A bayonet moves that wear into two printed faces that are cheap and orderable, and the joint lands in the same place every time it is made — a clamped duct is only as square as whoever tightened it last.
- Breaks and remakes the duct joint by hand, with no clamp, driver or loose fasteners.
- Puts service wear into a replaceable printed interface instead of into the end of your flex duct.
- Leaves the receiver on the duct drop so machines can be swapped through a fixed run.
- Seats to the same depth and angle on every reconnection.
- Carries twist load into a 260 mm plate that bears across the whole exhaust face.

Open source — including the mating half
A twist-lock is only useful if both halves agree, so D-Central Technologies publishes both. Frequently asked questions
Can I push flex duct straight onto this shroud?
No. The bayonet tabs stand wider than 6-inch duct and are shaped to engage a receiver, not to be gripped by a band. Order the 6-inch bayonet duct receiver with it, or choose the plain plain wide-base 6-inch shroud if you want duct straight onto a collar.
Wide base or the 250 mm bayonet shroud?
Twisting a joint apart puts torque into the mounting flange, and the 260 mm plate spreads that across the exhaust face, which is why this is the version to reach for if the duct comes off often. The standard-base bayonet shroud is for racks where 250 mm is all the width the machine spacing allows.
How many receivers do I need?
One per duct drop, not one per machine. The receiver lives on the run, so a rack position can accept any machine wearing a bayonet shroud, so shops usually end up with more shrouds than receivers.
Will it hold a heavy insulated duct?
The tabs engage on ramps and lock against a shoulder, so the joint carries load in shear rather than on friction. As with any shroud in this line, support the duct at its first bend rather than hanging a whole run off the machine face.
Which machines does the flange suit?
Anything presenting two 120 mm exhaust fans 120.0 mm apart on a 105 mm screw square: the S19 generation, the standard S21, the T21. Machines that moved to 140 mm fans, including the S21 Pro and S21 XP, use the S21 Pro dual 140 mm shroud.
