Bayonet Duct Receiver 6-Inch — Twist-Lock Duct Adapter

Overview

This is the duct-side half of the D-Central bayonet quick-disconnect. One end is a bayonet socket that twists onto the collar of a D-Central 6-inch bayonet shroud and locks at 60 degrees of rotation; the other end is the standard flex-over spigot used across the whole line — clamp land at 150.4 mm, retention bead crest at 152.4 mm, 145.6 mm through-bore. The receiver stays clamped to your duct, so connecting or disconnecting a miner becomes a twist instead of a hose-clamp job.

Both bayonet shrouds in the line carry geometrically identical collars, so one receiver serves either of them: entry, lock and pull-off engagement were measured identical against both.

What it fits

• The collar of either D-Central 6-inch bayonet shroud — standard or wide-base mount. One receiver serves both.
• 6-inch flex duct, which slips over the spigot on the far end and clamps on the land.

Note that the bayonet shroud on its own does not accept plain duct — its locking tabs are in the way by design. The shroud and this receiver work as a pair.

Measure before you order. Fit dimensions in this line are derived from published fan and chassis geometry and are not yet validated against measured production hardware. Check your flange size and clearances against the footprint below. If something does not fit, tell us — that is how the next revision gets better.

How it is used

Slide 6-inch flex duct over the spigot and clamp it on the land, below the retention bead. Leave the receiver on the duct permanently. To connect a miner, present the receiver to the shroud’s bayonet collar, push it home and twist to the 60-degree lock. To disconnect — for maintenance, a hashboard swap or a seasonal reconfiguration — twist back and pull. The duct and its clamp never move.

Why it helps

• The duct comes off in seconds, without disturbing the clamped flex connection.
• One receiver serves both bayonet shroud variants — the two collars measured geometrically identical.
• The downstream side is the same flex-over spigot as the rest of the line, so your clamps and duct practice carry over.
• Honest status: the twist-lock engagement — clean entry, lock at 60 degrees, positive pull-off interlock — is measured digitally. A printed pair has not yet been through a hands-on fit test.
