Description
Overview
The threaded shroud’s duct end is a printed thread, not a duct interface — on its own it connects to nothing. This receiver is the missing half. It screws onto the collar of a D-Central 6-inch threaded shroud and presents the line’s standard 6-inch flex-over spigot on the other end (land 150.4 mm, bead crest 152.4 mm). It uses the same bore, clearances and 45-degree thread flanks as the threaded blank-off cap, so the two are interchangeable on the same shroud: receiver on while the machine runs, cap on while it is down, so the duct run does not backfeed cold or dirty air into an idle miner.
What it fits
- The threaded collar of the D-Central 6-inch threaded shroud (both mount variants).
- 6-inch flex duct, which slips over the spigot on the far end and clamps on the land.
Measure before you order. Fit dimensions in this line are derived from published fan and chassis geometry and are not yet validated against measured production hardware. Check your flange size and clearances against the footprint below. If something does not fit, tell us — that is how the next revision gets better.
How it is used
Slide 6-inch flex duct over the spigot and clamp it below the retention bead — the receiver then stays on the duct. To connect, spin it onto the shroud’s thread until it seats; to disconnect, unscrew it. When a machine comes offline for the season, swap the receiver for the blank-off cap on the same thread and the port is sealed.
Why it helps
- A positive, tool-free screw-on duct connection — no clamp to work loose at the shroud end.
- Shares its thread with the blank-off cap, so one shroud can switch between ducted and sealed in seconds.
- The duct side is the standard family flex-over spigot, same as every other 6-inch part in the line.
- Honest status: thread engagement measures 1.242 mm radial — in CAD. A printed pair has not yet been through a hands-on fit test.

Frequently asked questions
Can I duct a threaded shroud without this receiver?
No. The threaded shroud alone has no duct interface — its thread mates only with this receiver or with the blank-off cap.
Is the thread really the same as the cap’s?
Yes — same bore, clearances and 45-degree flanks, so cap and receiver are interchangeable on one shroud.
Has the screw-on connection been physically tested?
Engagement is a CAD measurement (1.242 mm radial); a printed pair has not yet been fit-tested. If your pair binds, tell us — that is how the next revision gets better.
