The Antminer S19 shroud in wide-base form is for machines that sit on a shelf, a plinth or a pair of rack rails rather than hanging entirely off their own fan panel. It hoods both 120 mm exhaust fans of an S19 or a standard S21 behind one plenum and merges them into one 6-inch duct, so the heat leaves on a route you chose rather than filling the room.
The wide base is the point of this version. The mounting plate spans 260 mm across the exhaust face where the standard shroud spans 250 mm, putting material outboard of the fan screws so the plate bears over a longer span and a hanging duct loads the face rather than levering on four screw slots. It also covers more of the exhaust panel, leaving less open metal around the fans for hot air to spill back past.
If the machine bolts flush to a panel and 250 mm is all the width you have, take the narrow-base twin: the standard-base 6-inch shroud has the same capture and collar on a slimmer plate. Running 140 mm fans on an S21 Pro or XP? That is a different face, and the S21 Pro dual 140 mm shroud is the part. Ducting in metric on the same wide plate is the 160 mm metric wide-base shroud.
Two fans blowing into one round hole is the naive version of this part, and it is the version that whistles. Here the two fan columns run into a shaped plenum and merge there, with the round transition placed after the merge rather than at it, so each column turns against a wall, not against the other. All eight fan screws sit in open slots with 8.11 to 11.14 mm of driver clearance.

Take the wide base when the miner sits on a shelf or rack rails and the duct hangs off the back, because the 260 mm plate spreads that load across the exhaust face. Take the standard-base 6-inch shroud when machines are stacked tight and the extra width would foul the chassis beside it. Capture, screw square and collar are identical either way.
You can, and it is the easy route: the miner’s own fan screws have large heads that bridge the 6.40 × 5.00 mm flange slots. Otherwise M4 with a 9 mm or larger flat washer under the head does the same job. Nothing longer is needed.
Yes. Those chassis present the same rear face: two 120 mm fans on a 120.0 mm pitch with a 105 mm screw square. The flange is cut to that pattern rather than to a model number. The 140 mm S21 Pro and S21 XP are the exception and need the S21 Pro dual 140 mm shroud family.
Nothing electrical changes. Stock fans stay on their stock connectors, firmware is untouched, and the only operation is backing out eight fan screws and putting them back through a flange. If the machine has to go back bare, the shroud lifts off.
A short run to a nearby window works comfortably on 6-inch. Once the run gets long, turns several times, or feeds a plenum shared with other machines, step up to the wide-base 8-inch shroud so the duct stops being the narrowest thing in the system.
