Antminer Hashboard Part Numbers (BHB Codes) Decoded

Every Bitmain Antminer hash board carries a part number silkscreened onto the PCB — a code that starts with BHB (“Bitmain Hash Board”) followed by a five-digit block, for example BHB56902. Parts vendors, repair shops and resellers list boards by these codes, but almost none explain what they mean. This reference decodes them: which ASIC chip a board carries, which miner models it belongs to, how many chips sit on it, whether it is air- or hydro-cooled, and which control boards it pairs with. Read the code off your board, match it in the table below, and you know exactly what you are holding.

How to read a BHB code

The prefix BHB marks it as a Bitmain hash board. The numeric block that follows groups the board by its ASIC generation — the first two digits are the reliable tell:

  • 28xxx — BM1489 chip, Antminer L7 (Scrypt / Litecoin & Dogecoin) hash boards.
  • 42xxx — BM1362 or BM1366 chip: the S19j Pro, S19 XP, S19j XP, S19j Pro+ and early S19k Pro families. The lower 42-series numbers (426xx, 425xx) are BM1362 S19j Pro boards; the 428xx numbers are BM1366 S19 XP / S19j XP boards.
  • 56xxx — BM1366 chip, Antminer S19k Pro (later hardware identity generation, 77 chips per board).
  • 68xxx and A3HB7xxxx — BM1368 or BM1370 chip: the S21, S21+, S21 Pro, S21 XP and T21 families.

The remaining digits track the specific silicon bin and board revision within a family. A trailing dash — for example BHB56902- — marks a board sub-revision, most often an alternate-cooling (hydro or immersion) or minor-rev variant of the base board. Because bins and revisions share a family, two boards with adjacent codes usually carry the same chip and the same chip count but differ in factory tuning or cooling.

One caveat worth knowing before you buy: a hash board and a control board are not the same part. The BHB code identifies the hash board — the plane of ASIC chips that does the mining. The control board (the small brain board with the network port) is a separate item, and a single hash board family often shipped on several different control-board platforms across production runs. The “Control Boards” column below lists the platforms a given board family was seen on, so you can confirm a match rather than assume one.

Quick answer

A BHB code is the part number silkscreened on a Bitmain Antminer hash board — "BHB" stands for Bitmain Hash Board. The numeric block that follows groups the board by its ASIC generation: 28xxx boards carry the BM1489 (Antminer L7, Scrypt); 42xxx boards carry the BM1362 or BM1366 (the S19j Pro, S19 XP, S19j XP and early S19k Pro families); 56xxx boards carry the BM1366 (S19k Pro); and 68xxx and A3HB7xxxx boards carry the BM1368 or BM1370 (the S21, S21+, S21 Pro, S21 XP and T21 families). The remaining digits track the specific bin and board revision, and a trailing dash (for example BHB56902-) marks a sub-revision, commonly an alternate-cooling or minor-rev board. This table decodes 43 BHB SKUs to chip, host models, chips per board, cooling and control-board variants.

Read the code off the board, match it here, then order the right part or start a repair. Free CSV/JSON under CC BY 4.0. Chips-per-board is shown only where independently verified; every other cell cites the board family, not a guess.

Board revisions vary — always verify the exact silkscreen code against the physical board before ordering a replacement or parts. Pairs with the hashboard architecture reference, the ASIC chip reference and the model hubs (S21, S19). Need a board diagnosed or rebuilt? Start a repair → or browse replacement hashboards.

Got a board with a dead chain?

A single open or shorted ASIC stops the whole chain — the fixture reports fewer chips than the board should carry, and everything downstream of the fault goes invisible. That is a repair, not a write-off. If you have identified your board here and it is underperforming or dead, start a repair with D-Central — we diagnose and rebuild Antminer hash boards at the chip level. For the electrical build behind these codes — chips per board, voltage domains, per-domain rail voltage, PIC and EEPROM reference designators and the chain-break signature — see the hashboard architecture reference. And if you need a replacement rather than a fix, browse in-stock replacement hashboards.

A reference, not a guarantee. BHB codes track bins and revisions within a family, and board revisions vary — always verify the exact silkscreen code against the physical board before ordering parts or a replacement.
